Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

saw this on twitter. who is this guy?

My U of M source says Big Ten has plans to move Maryland game to noon Saturday (not 8pm) and will make final decision by tomorrow evening.

i don't mind his enthusiasm, but the presumption that he should have any kind of say in decision making, no, that is a privilege reserved to students/alum/faculty, almost all of whom will have a busier schedule and i'm guessing hackett clearly agrees, since i don't recall a "random internet fan who attends some random nearby college" in-person meeting

Personal shots stopped bothering me in junior high school.

I plan my work and class schedule around Michigan Athletics.

And I'm doing awesome in life. 3.0 GPA, am buying a car that is not a 2002 Chevy Prizm soon.

Say the game does get moved to noon...does BTN broadcast it on a BTN overflow channel? Or would they give it priority over Minnesota v Northwestern?

I'll wait for the official word, of course, but fortunately this is probably one of the few weekends in the fall where there is almost nothing significant going on for all of Saturday, so even if I have to roll out of bed, have the obligatory pot of coffee and watch a game, it doesn't blow up the entire day. Most noon kicks, while doable, are kind of burdensome if you have a family and the associated "to do" lists, I find.

All of the professional games are getting moved around.

They're likely talking with the B1G tonight and if it happens, there will be an announcement tomorrow.

This sucks because I volunteered to do an audit at work knowing that I could get a full 8-hours of overtime in and still have time to eat dinner and put the kids to bed before the game started. If they do move it to noon, it will mess with my whole day.  Someone better be on their A-game at tenyardtorrents and get this up quick...Stupid hurricane.

I don't expect them to, but that would be badass if they worked things around my schedule.  My point was that I had a well-planned out day that involves things I cannot back out of and thus I will miss the whole game if it's moved to noon.  That's it.  However, I upvoted you anyway...

if the game is moved to noon (9am my time btw), will the BTN even show it on TV?

Or will they do that bullshit BT to Go crap? That's what they did to the Illini game that was weather delayed earlier this year.

Honestly I prefer it. I hate when we play a mediocre team at night like Rutgers last year just get the game over with and play lights out. Night games hype up the crowd a little too much

I'm pissed because I'm going to be balls deep in beer and bad decisions at Ball State's Homecoming tailgate at noon on Saturday. Play manball in the rain at 8:00ET please

Tailgating woes aside, rolling out of bed and watching Michigan play is better than wasting all day wishing I were watching Michigan play. And that's why I love noon games. But there's no doubt a special energy enervates night games.

Especially when you've got something on the smoker from the Mmgobbq column. Last three games I haven't been up later than 6 so that I could get the 'cue started. Speaking of, I wonder what you grill in observance of playing in a hurricane? Something on the rotisserie?
