Michigan jersey size question.

Submitted by no joke its hoke on March 28th, 2012 at 3:45 PM

I was going to buy a new Michigan football jersey but i'm not sure on the right size. Is a Adidas jersey size 48 a medium or a large? I believe a 48 in the Nike jersey was a large but usually that changes between brands.  I'm 6-1 around 180lbs so i'm not too sure to get a 48 or a 50?? Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Adidas has the L,XL sizing and Nike uses the numbers(size 48).

EDIT2: The Adidas jersey on ebay is by the number so now im really confused. Mden has letter size while the ebay jersey has number size.

Nike 48 was considered an XL.  Adidas jersey sizes run a little smaller than Nike so they consider a 48 to be a medium and a size 50 to be a large.  I would go a size 50 with you at least.

And I normally wear 3x or 2x everything.  I have a 2XL M Football Jersey that is way too big in the stomach area- so I think they run big.

I'm 5'3" and a small is pretty much a dress on me,  whether it's hockey (Big Chill or adidas maize from 2010) or football (Nike Michigan, Reebok NFL).  My jerseys fit my 6'0",  ~200lb boyfriend pretty well though, so I'd say they're similar. The hockey sleeves seem bigger   around than the football ones, but that's about it.

My understanding was that the authentic Adidas jerseys use numbers for sizing such as the $150 version on the MDen and then the premier/replica uses letter sizing which was the $75 version on the site. Even though it says you can buy M, L or XL for the authentic jersey it actually comes in number sizing as is shown in the picture of the jersey on the site

Is a 46, so a medium would be a 48, large a 50, and so on and so forth.

To find the best size for you measure across your chest, and double that length to get your number size.
