He has talked about hoping Red Berenson stays on as coach, getting Harbaugh deferred compensation plan done, Pete Carroll v. Jim Harbaugh in the Pac10, and made it clear he is not against night games just did not want to do one this year (which is stupid by the way)!

He spoke with Beilein yesterday and was "happy to see John release Spike and Doyle to go play wherever they want to go." He is in favor of letting transfers go anywhere in the country after they are done with Michigan. Beilein will not be fired. That is what I have assessed so far.

he's endorsed academic fraud and payment to players since that seems like a ticket to a final four. He also said a 9 game suspension of the head coach is a small price for winning and he expects Beilein to comply.

Manuel stated that his personal belief is that it doen't make sense to offer ninth and tenth graders scholarships, as well as having coaches travel to recruit them. His experience is that senior-year scholarship offers make most sense.

Don't know how this matches current recruiting practices for certain sports. . as well as how this matches cultivating long-term relationships.

For some reason I'm picturing Manuel kicking back in his chair having a casual conversation with the media. This seems like a "I have nothing better to do so might as well" kinda conference, which is amusing to me. That being said, my comments are based off the observations/discussion topics outlined in this post from those who are actually listening.
