Eight University of Michigan football players from the 2009-10 season, one baseball player and one men's track and field athlete were named All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year Award recipients from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) on March 31.

Former football players Stevie Brown and Brandon Graham were joined on the list by senior Stephen Schilling, juniors David Molk, Brandon Herron, Mike Martin, Junior Hemingway, sophomore Michael Cox, fifth-year senior Nick Urban from baseball and junior Frank Shotwell from men's track and field.

Congratulations to the awardees and the S&C coaching staff. The link provides some great quotes from the S&C coaches on the awardees.

None of these seem too surprising, but they're still good to see - I wonder how many we've had in previous years (and under Carr/Gittleson).

EDIT: after browsing their site, I couldn't find a "past winners" section, but Google knows all, so I'll check there in a bit.
