You're right that that's mostly what the job entails.

Is it too late to make a better offer to one of the Poly Prep coaches? I'm sure we have more money than Georgia

Time to bring back Coach Campbell?

We had a number of overqualified people on staff as analysts or in other support roles. It's good to see them moving back up. That's at least 3 in the last year, including TJ Wiest.

It is all about the coach. Rodriguez and Hoke should have taught you that. All the tradition in the world won't help you if your coach isn't good.

Harbaugh or Willie Taggert would pick Ron Caragher up to join there staff since he's part of the Harbaugh tree and all.

Except after "3."

The coaches Harbaugh hired - Bush Sr from Flanagan and Partridge from Paramus - were both long time, successful coaches at nationally known high school programs. Both Brooklyn Poly Prep (Wilson) and Antioch (Harris) are middling programs in middling conferences. Nowhere near nationally recognized, aside from having a 5-star play for them. If not for the 5-stars, those two programs would still be anonymous, and likely have losing records. I don't think Harbaugh would even entertain hiring thier coaches, even for an analyst position.

There's a rotund former Kansas head coach who's available.
C'mon, Mangino would look great in maize and blue. It's slimming.
