He's earned it. At 84, he has served for a longer period of uninterrupted time—over 54 years—as a member of the House of Representatives than any other congressman in history. If he's elected twice more (a debatable proposition) he will surpass Robert Byrd as the longest-serving congressman in the House or Senate in history. I don't know how he's able to work with all the loons and douchebags that are his fellow Congresscritters.
