Mgoblog (Brian) Twitter rant
Looks like bowling didn't go too well
I'm just done with people who are mad at me for reacting how I do to Michigan football. If you don't like it, I don't care
For years I let people talk shit to me because I felt some sort of duty to them because they'd been around a while.
That was a mistake. If you are surprised that I am emotional and moody at this point you are too stupid to care about.
I have taken epic tons of shit for being in a bad mental spot this year; and somehow I managed to feel bad about that.
No more. I'm done taking shit from internet anons because I'm not happy about losing to OSU 9 of 10 years.
I don't owe you a damn thing. Read it or don't.
most people are not reacting like that, but shitheads are louder. this is going to have an effect on MGoBlog.
Your point total is irrelevant to my decisions. If you're making our lives shitty, you're gone
This whole season has been 50% nightmare team, 50% nightmare community. I can fix half of that.

...do I not find it surprising that your tagline is what it is? chitownblue2, one of the biggest jerks here. Good riddance. And by the way, how was my 2% chance not close? Just because it happened doesn't mean that it retroactively increases the chances. I guess Saturday was one of the two out of 100. If you weren't shocked by the performance Saturday, you haven't been paying attention, or you don't know squat about football (or both).

"So I could ban you. This is the kind of post that detracts from the site, and is even more damaging long term, because the seemingly innocuous nature of it hides its true assholish nature.
In fact, letting it go enables and encourages snarky sarcasm, from where it is a slippery slope to mlive."

[EDIT: Since this argument is still going, I figured I'd put this back]]

"Questioning your incomparable football knowledge." As your reaction like there are some "value added" posters that deserve special treatment. Somehow the site survived your two year break sans your insights. I mean, how can you not be right when you say "Manball has nothing to do with scheme" then post a thread of all the teams that don't run MANBALL in the top 25 offenses? With your "2%" you said to keep it that close the defense would play well (it didn't), we'd need to be +3 TO margin with no turnovers (not even close), less than 25 yards in penalties (more), no bad punts or kicks (had one put at the 35), and Ohio will score 50 and we'll punt 8 times. It was so ridiculous in its excess I wonder if you've ever watched a Michigan and Ohio State game before. Because for a guy who acts like he knows a lot about football, you don't really show any more knowledge than the poster off the street you object to; same hyperbole and slanted viewpoints.

...onto other people's statements.
- chitownblue2 was a jerk to every poster he disagreed with, ergo he was banned. He was the type of jerk that would always say how stupid people were for their ideas, yet never initiate any of his own for judgment. That's why I think he's a jerk.
- So, you think you have just as good football knowledge and aren't prone to hyperbole and slant, yet you believed Saturday would be close b/c of games in 1969, 1993, 1995, and 1996? Do you conveniently forget 1968, 1991, 2008, and 2010? Those were M-OSU blowout games that followed the script. According to what you wrote ("It was so ridiculous in its excess I wonder if you've ever watched a Michigan and Ohio State game before.") you believe this doesn't exist.
- As for being "so ridiculous in its excess" in regards to Ohio scoring 50, they scored 42 and we had 600 yards of offense, almost as many as our previous four games combined. So, Ohio scored about what I expected (although it was a lot easier than I expected; should've thought more about the Indiana game), and if we had played near the same level offensively against teams with defenses inferior defenses to Ohio's (Neb, NW, Iowa)--and thus have <200 yards--would Ohio have scored at least 8 more points?
- Who do you respect as having a lot of football knowledge, and what did they predict for Michigan-Ohio Saturday?
- For a guy who went to a lot of trouble to go back and look up my posts, I don't think you read it correctly. I didn't put M's chance of victory at 2%, I put the chance the OL would correct the major flaws from weeks 1-11 in week 12 at 2%.
- I tried to distinguish true manball from what many believe is the only way to MANBALL. In addition to context, I thought the all-caps would help.

I noticed the rant going on my timeline last night. Brian is a good man and this is a good site. I appreciate his passion and love for the game. I didn't think it was wrong at all for him to be pissed off or emotional following another loss to Ohio. He was well within his right to complain about haters.
This is a great site and the people in charge of this site are great people.
