MGoBlog Avatar Tourney?

Submitted by Bosch on

As some of you may have noticed, there is a little basketball tournament going on right now.

It seems appropriate to suggest that the MGoBlog community should have a tournament of our own.... specifically, an Avatar tourney.

I don't suggest this because I think my Avatar would fair well. As far as the "eye candy" Avatars go, mine is one of the least impressive, especially from the perspective of those who do not understand the significance behind my Avatar.

It is just that I know that there are some pretty good ones out there and I think it would be fun to pit them up against each other, tournament style.

This would take the initiative of someone with a little more programming savvy than me to organize and host. If someone took on such a thing, they can and should set up the tourney their way. With that said, I will still offer one suggestion.

There should be a minimum number of MGoPoints established for your avatar to be considered, only because the tourney would mean more with Avatars that are recognizable.

I contemplated posting this as a diary, but I figured I'd let the responses dictate whether or not it is worthy. If the idea is not well received, I can let the post quietly die. Without further ado.... Good idea? Can it be easily done?

PS: SPARTY, NO! (just witnessed the Aggies take the lead for the first time)

On the Ice at Yost. Obviously not a HAWT competitor.

Also, Let's fill up the Joe tomorrow. Pretty please? We need all the encouragement we can get, I want to do another 5 goal counts.

...to objectively call a clear avatar winner IMHO.

If I were a Tressel-loving Buckeye, I'd probably say we should celebrate our diversity, but that's too candy ass for any true blue Wolverine fan.
