MGoBallers

So there are a lot of good posters on this board.  And I've always wondered, who is an ex-football player?  Who played on the basketball team?

Also - if you are a corporate CEO, I'd be interested in hearing about that too.

Let's see what kind of talent we have on MGoBlog.

Myself - I played on a non-revenue sport and graduated in 2001.  Currently in sales.

I am a member of the reigning Ann Arbor Parks and Rec E league champions. Yeah, most of the guys in that league had only a basic grasp of the rules of basketball, but hey... And of course now that they moved us back up to the D league, we're 1-5.

Oh, and I made the semis of IM bball at UM, but then a team of incredibly fast and well organized Koreans destroyed us.

The highlight of my athletic career was my freshmen year of high school on the JV baseball team. We were tied with Lutheran North and it was the bottom of the 7th bases loaded. I came to the plate, got in my batting stance, cocked the bat on my shoulder and...left it there as the pitcher walked me for a game winning, walk-off walk. Yeah it was all down there from there.

I am Albert Einstein. I never died. Before my faked death I developed a serum that allows me to heal ala Wolverine. If you want flying cars, just wait I have a pending publication that will blow your mind.

Played high school football and ran track. Was damn good at both.. especially track. Specialized in the 100 and 200, did a little long jump too. Was a CB in football, was recruited and what no. Pretty much all set to play football at the D1 level then I slipt up, got caught up and had a baby. Had to give it all up.

I love my little guy though so I can't be too frustrated by it all.

Jan Gerson shook my hand at graduation and said "congratulations, , I've had you in at least 3 classes and it's great to see you graduate." I moved to LA and developed an In-N-Ouf habit.

Nice.  We beat John Navarre's IM team in basketball.  He turned has ankle and we routed them from there.  That team had a lot of other football players.  Brent Cummings - I think that was his name.  Dude set the nastiest picks I've ever seen.  Izzo would have been proud.

a dating site for single chemicals to rival chemistry.com.  And I make rap videos, also chemistry related.....and today I lit up some aluminum and iodine after reading about in one of my new books about chemistry.

Played baseball and football in high school.  Now play pickup football games every Friday night in the fall behind The Shoe (fear not; I then bathe in scalding water afterwards) where I am the featured slot ninja.

However, because I am not compensated, I teach by day.  Oddly enough, I just started a blog today that will feature all of the funny stories I've had so far in my brief career.

No, not really. I played football from 5th grade to senior year of high school, dumbly blew off every division II/III school and was left with only an "offer" to walk on at two different MAC schools. Not wanting to be a permanent practice squad guy and naively preferring to use college to just party, my playing days ended there. Past that, I was also a mediocre basketball and baseball player in high school.

My true competitive claim to fame is being possibly one the dominant Super Smas Bros (Gamecube) player of all time. People laughed when they saw my character of choice was Jigglypuff, but the laughter never lasted long...

I played football during recess in 4th grade. My teacher was the QB and he threw me a pass, which I caught handily. So on the next play, he threw to me again, and this time I caught it with my face. Black eye. I was the coolest girl in school.

Track guy. I could smoke all you fools in a quarter mile...until someone chimes in with "Well I ran a 47.XX" and then I retract that to I could have smoked MOST of you. I ran 400 Hurdles primarily, as well, so I'm a MAN.

I now beast out in sand volleyball (4's though might try Doubles this year) in the late Spring through early Fall.
