Meyer has something to say about Michigan at 4:35 EST

Per loud-mouthed Mike Valenti on the Valenti & Foster Facebook feed.

I honestly couldn't care less what Captain Snakeoil has to say about us, but I thought I'd pass it along....

February 9th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^ this is news?  Dude is not Woody.  He never was Woody, and he'll never be Woody.  So why the hell are we supposed to care what the heck he refers to us as?

You're a lot of talk and a badge....

Well one thing's for sure.  Whatever he says will be a LIE cause everybody here knows all he does is lie.  He lies so much the other I read somebody called him....get this...."URBAN LIAR"...har har...get it?  Man that's so funny.

I'm going to start calling him Pinocchio or something as a cool way of letting everybody know just what a liar Urban Meyer...I mean LIAR is.  I mean there is nothing...literally nothing....funnier and more true than that.  And orignal too!

And I cant speak for everybody here on MGoBlog but I love that every time he makes a sound or does anything for that matter he gets a post.  I don't know which i love more...the Urban "Liar" posts or the Marc Dantonio/MSU ones.

They just never, ever get old.

What I love most are the obnoxious rants about what the poster doesn't like and hates reading, along with the implication that everyone else should hate the same things.  Obviously this is important to do because the poster has no ability to actively choose which threads he/she reads and, hence, must act swiftly to change everyone else's behavior since he/she can't simply change his/her own behavior.

Meyer is announcing the commitments of Suburban Meyer and Tahoe Meyer, his children from the "chearleader incident" at Florida that prompted his "health concerns" retirement.

It's official - MGoBlog breaks news faster than Valenti And Foster AND an Urban Meyer presser, and here I was, thinking he was going to revive his campaign that was so successful with the Gators...

Difference between Hoke and Meyer:

Hoke, completely on his own accord, has been calling them "Ohio" for years and did so from the word go at his press conference.

Meyer took more than 2 months to make these changes, in an obvious retaliation to Hoke.

One is genuine, one is for show for his fan base.

One thing that frightened me about Tressel is that he was actually an authentic, grassroots kind of Ohio coach. A guy who really, geniunely had a dislike for Michigan and instilled that in everything he did with his program.

Meyer is just such a contrived, phony celebrity. Everything he does and says seems like it was scripted by some PR manager. I love that such a character-less figure is in charge down there; it makes it that much easier to disrespect them. We have a sincere, high-quality human being as coach. Another clear point in our favor as we seek to prove objective good and evil in the rivalry.

They just completed their biannual new car inventory and it appears for the first time in 10 years that the units on hand and the sales invoices add up.  YEAHHH....OSU COMPLIANCE!!!!

Does anybody think this whole Urban OSU thing feels fabricated? It feels the opposite from when coach Hoke was announced. I personally think he won't be there more than three or four years.

He is going to announce how he will refer to Michigan?  Just do it.  Oh, and try to be original and not derivative of a dead guy who got fired for losing his mind during a football game.

He held a press conference to announce this??? Wouldn't it be a lot cooler to just start doing it?? A la Brady Hoke??  This just looks like he's trying too hard to fit in down there

Edit-should have read the second page before posting

Perhaps Brandon said it best in reference to Urbie's press conference:

“I think it's really unfortunate the slam that they're taking at Michigan State, because MSU, really, is the team that's the furthest north," he said at today's Winter Classic news conference.

"I don't know how to read all that. I don’t if they thought that through completely. And frankly, I don't care a whole lot to how they refer to us.”
