META: page changing ads

Anyone else have ads the cause the page to move to an ad page (Privacy Enhancement from SearchLock in my case) if I leave the tab mgoblog for a bit? Seems/sounds kind of shady....

whoa, this literally just happened. literally refreshed through a series of sites; I'm not sure how this type of ad behavior is acceptable. Either trying to do a drive by or increase click rates, both sorta pretty unethical....

I had it happen several times to me today.  I got an ad for a Comcast survey.

It just completely moved me off of my current page and onto a new ad page as if I had clicked a link.  Except that I didn't touch anything.

I was typing a comment one of the times and I lost what I was typing since I had not saved it yet.  Another time it happened, I was watching one of the videos posted (Inside Michigan I think), and when it happened I lost the connection to the video.

IMO, that level of intrusion crosses the line.

I have only had it happen on here, not on other sites like Fidelity, CNN, etc.

Is it happening on a mobile device or desktop? This happens to me frequently on numerous sites when I'm on my phone, but it's nearly non-existent on my desktop.

I really appreciate the ads done for Home Sure Lending and others on this site as they are genuine and the site's owners have a personal connection to the advertisers. They are actually vouching for the vendors... On the other side, I abhor google ads (or other served-ads) for a number of reasons: They are subject to exploits as this thread is about and it seems as if the hosts don't give a shit about that; they are creepy - looking into your search history (I still get ads for things I bought last year. No I do not need another washing machine); and they are impersonal.
