Meta: Mods, can we ban any new threads about the MSU game? Please.

Submitted by RakeFight on

Pretty please.

There are no less than FIFTY-EIGHT threads currently posted on every facet of the game.

How about a daily Snowflake thread?

This would be #59 then.

There are currently 14 topics on the side board up for discussion.  Exactly TWO (oops - now one) not including this one, directly concern the MSU game.  Candidly I'm not sure what you expect given that the ending of the game is ALL anybody is talking about EVERYWHERE, not just here.  It was the lead story on fucking Daily Mail (British version of Huffington Post) for a day for Christ's sake.

You very clearly are attempting to dictate what can and cannot be discussed. Fortunately, you lack the authority to do so.

That said, this isn't a democracy. If the Mods or Brian decide "No Mas" then it truly is "No Mas". I can accept that kind of autocracy because we are, afterall, guests in Brian's House. We have to live by his rules if we want to be here.

The fact that you couldn't tell if he was serious or not shows an uncontrollable lack of institutional control of your funny bone sensor control unit. You are hereby no longer employed or controlled by Control and must seek your fortune at Kaos.

Try to control your emotions when you say goodbye to agents Darboh and Godin.

a lot of people are turning to this blog to get through this.  That was one of the worst sporting moments in my life and many others.  There was some theraputic need to talk it out over the weekend and earlier today, but I think it is reaching diminishing returns now where all of the discussion is actually making it harder to move on.

State has to go to Nebraska at night and to Ohio State.  We can still win the division, it is not like some fantasy that could never happen.  I think people are ready to just focus on the rest of the season.

My point is why are some trying to decide what can and cannot be discussed? if you don't want to rehash it, fine. I understand. But for others rehashing is cathartic.

I guess I don't understand why people can't ignore threads with topics they dislike.

I get what you mean.  But just speaking as somebody who is seriously obsessed to the point of it being like a life-issue with what happened on Saturday, I could use a good chat about the possibility of still getting a NY6 bowl game, possible Citrus Bowl opponents, THe Game etc.  Like, I don't know what the score of the OSU v. Penn State game was, still, as I am typing.  I don't know if ND beat SC.  I did not take that well on Saturday.
