META: Citrus Bowl UFR vs. Florida

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

Brian, we know you're busy with recruiting right now...but pretty pretty pleeease?

That game was tooooo good not to get one final UFR of the year (screw the OSU one - "ain' nobody wanna see that shit")

Please?

Weren't we promised an OSU UFR over the holidays? -- If forced to choose only one I say Bowl game all the way though.

I, too, don't want to be the jerk who complains about Brian not producing enough labor-intensive, free-of-charge content either. But... well, OK, I'll be that jerk: I wish he'd do more UFRs for Ohio State and bowl games. (We had full UFRs for 2011 OSU, because that was a win; and we had a passing game UFR vs OSU 2012, to evaluate Devin Gardner's potential going into 2013. That's it for the past five years.)

I can understand not wanting to dissect Michigan getting its face kicked in by OSU each year. Still, it's our biggest game -- shouldn't we examine it more closely to find out what's going on? Urban has hung 42 points on our D three years in a row. I know the basic reason -- his offense is really damn hard to defend against -- but I'd like to dig more into what exactly we're doing wrong. Wouldn't that be useful data going forward?

So I'd propose Brian at least do:

1) An autopsy UFR of the defense vs OSU (which might help us better answer "How do we stop Urban's offense?" and "What should we hope Don Brown changes?")

2) As a palate cleanser after #1, offense vs. Florida -- or at least, the running plays. Examining why the running game improved so much against a very good Florida D might tell us a lot about what to expect from next year's offense.

Pretty please?
