Men's Lacrosse @ #19 Delaware, Noon Today

Men's lacrosse is in Newark, Delaware to wrap up its spring break with a contest against fellow winged helmet-wearers the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens.  The game is on now, looked like it was 1-1 in the first quarter and is streaming on this weird service here: Stream Michigan vs Delaware - FloLive, well beyond BTN+ and the Ocho.

Anyway, Michigan is coming off a difficult loss against Marquette last week, a team they probably should've beat. But they were never really in the game. They were missing a few key guys but hopefully they're back and take care of business today. It was a bad loss but for this team, everything is still in front of them.

Delaware is an interesting team. They feasted on some cupcakes to start the season 3-0 and creep into the Top 10 but dropped a one-goal game to Villanova last week. Last year, Michigan absolutely crushed them in Ann Arbor in early March which was Michigan's best win of 2022.  Delaware finished the season with 6 straight wins, earning a bid to the NCAAs, knocked off Georgetown in a wild last-ditch comeback and came within 3 goals of making the Final Four. So, they're a good team and well-coached so this would be a great W for Michigan if they can pull it off.

So...they were down 9-4 at one point and went into the half down 9-6. But that run continued and ultimately turned into a 9-0 (!! that's NINE-ZERO) run to not only come back but take a healthy lead.  Michigan wins 16-12 final score.

Great response from this team.  GOOD WIN.

They get a chance to keep it rolling and get some revenge in Boston next weekend against Harvard.  GO BLUE!!

Our winged helmets are cooler and better than your winged helmets. Play CFB Risk to celebrate the lax victory and attack any of the OSU (gray), Texas A&M (maroon) or Wisconsin (bright red) territories. If you want a specific attack/defend order aligned with Michigan’s current battle plan go to Michigan Risk Central Command.
