Mecole Hardman Decides to Not Do Mid-Season Silent Commitment (story clarified)

Ok now I am just confused.  Anyhow he says no decision announced til signing day.  [popcorn.gif]

He is going to Tennessee.

We've got this all wrong, his 247 sports page has him as previously saying that he would silently commit somewhere midseason and let the press know when he did that but not to whom he committed. This is saying that he will no longer be silent committing during the season as previously planned

strap yourself in.  It's going to be a wild ride!

I'm always dubious of silent commitments. But this seems a decent way to signal if he is really considering Michigan.

When the prospect got to Michigan he talked about their 2016 recruiting class, and again unprompted, said Michigan has “three or four commitments nobody knows about.” He said he knows about them, but as one would guess, did not name them.

And herein lies part of why I do not follow recruiting.

He must have taken back the promise ring.  Or returned it?  Whatever...

Just letting everybody know that I'm no longer committed to remaining silent on any decommitting from my silent commit.

(But why is this guy's visit date set for Friday? Hoping that it's a two day affair - how could he come the day after T-Day and then miss The Game?)

I've never heard of him, nor do I know what year? Better title....

He may mean that he had committed to a school in his mind only. A true silent commitment.

Just stare at your coach and hope he reads your mind.

Then I started screaming. No one came. I woke up and decommitted from chores. I just smoked some food and drank a Dogfish 120.. Then I watched Michigan beat some nut.

Silent just meant he didnt tell anyone, including the school he silently committed to.
