Golden Tate... Can you imagine our boy throwing to both Ginn & Tate? Ughh.... Oh, and no sign of BG, he's the first ranked DE not taken...

Wut? Greg Mathews and LaTerryal Savoy are available, and Miami would pick Golden Freaking Tate? Who caught the critical passes to defeat Tate's team this year? COME ON. Irish bias.

it is as simple as this Acquire Braylon Edwards, Mario Manningham, Mike Hart, Chris Perry, Jason Avant, and poof, there is Miami 's new offense :D I cheer when the ball is thrown to Bess, because his name is not Ginn or Hartline

Yeah, what other real NFL style QB's are there? Everyone was high on Bradfoord last year, but he has some injury issues now. Colt McCoy will be up there, but he doesn't have the NFL body style like Clausen does. Maybe the BYU or Houston guys will be high picks, but honestly I will be surprised if Clausen isn't the first QB taken.

Well, here's a mock draft the 2009 draft that he did in February of 2009 (obviously likely to be more accurate than the one he did now, since he actually knows the team orders in this one). http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/insider/columns/story?columnist=… On my count, he got 8 out of his 32 first round picks dead on He got another 3 picks within 1 slot of being right, and another 6 picks within 5 slots (He also correctly had Sanchez going to the Jets although necessarily had the slot way wrong due to the trade). And all in all he correctly identified 26 of the 32 players who would be drafted in the first round. Personally, I think that's actually pretty damn good for a mock draft that was done in February, and a lot better than most of the mocks I see. Not saying this make Golden a lock to Miami, but I'll certainly take McShay's opinion over a random schmo's on the street. (On a related note, I wish more sports writers/media sources would go back and see how accurate their predictions were this way).

If the dolphins really want to turn the corner in the passing game, they've gotta shell out and get a guy like antwan boldin, who's clearly disgruntled enough to consider a team like the dolphins that could be a contender. boldin is a posession receiver, but has the ability to make huge plays. i think he'd be great for chad. Braylon could also be an option, but something tells me Parcells probably doesn't want to take that chance, since the opportunity has already been passed up at least once. Golden Tate may also be a wise move, but it seems like that organization may rather bring in veteran, competent guys rather than expend a high draft pick for a wideout. But who knows... can't wait to see what chad does with a legitimate playmaker to throw to!

What the Dolphins need if they want to turn the corner in their passing game is a TALL possession receiver. They already have a fast athletic receiver in Ginn, and he just doesn't cut it. Yes, smaller, faster receivers can make it in the NFL (i.e. Desean Jackson), but for the most part they just end up in the slot or as a number 2 receiver. The truly dominant receivers in this league are taller possession receivers that can go up and get the ball over defenders when they're being covered. They're the type of receiver that a QB can throw a fade to in the endzone. Boldin, Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, Moss, T.O., Andre Johnson, etc. all fit this mold. Golden Tate has the potential to be good, but I just don't feel like he'll ever be more than an average receiver in the NFL. He can get away with his size in college, but the NFL is going to be a whole other monster.

Bill Parcells is the kind of GM who will go after linemen, he has never taken a WR in the top round of the draft, they always go after linemen, but with one of the last picks (20's) I'm betting they pick up a linebacker with pass-rushing skills since both Joey Porter and Jason Taylor, maybe Sergio Kindle? i don't see him going THAT high. i think corners aren't a big need since Sean Smith and Vontae Davis are playing well.

I know Golden Taint plays for ND and everything, but man, that kid is a player. If Chad Henne gets more options and becomes the next Tom Brady, I could care less who he is throwing too. Of course, it's been a complete joy to watch Ted "feet for hands" Gin drop pass after pass this year.

Even though the thought of Henne throwing to Ginn, Hartline, and possibly Tate sickens me, I am really proud watching a former Michigan QB usurp yet another starting QB spot in the AFC east.
