Maybe Brady Hoke Will Kick Ass?

Submitted by MGoVillain on

You non believing heathens.  We all thought RR was a slam dunk and look what happened.  This looks like shitty shit but maybe Hoke will be the next Phil Jackson.

Yes, Phil Jackson.

Orrr you can drown in your own tears like Brian ;)

Sorry Brian.

Grow a pair you sissies.

I'd like to think that the first several games of the 2011 season are winnable - and can allow the team to gel.  Notre Dame is a potential problem, but I really think that a new defensive scheme might take some of the pressure off of the defensive backfield...making it a winnable game.

Pie in the sky predicition, but I think that Michigan can win 10+ games this year. The cupboard isn't nearly as bare as some folks would have us believe.  The athletes that are here (and hopefully stay) are capable of winning every game on the schedule.

Whether it was RR or now that it's Hoke, 8 wins should be the absolute minimum that is achievable.

Should Hoke (and I'm saying nothing negative about RR) get this team to buy-in and pick off the majority of the other 4 that are in debate (MSU, ND, OSU, Neb), this could be a great season upcoming.

I'm all in!

He better kick some ass. Speaking of kick ass, I was listening to the sports station in Dallas and they had a commercial that said "we may not be the highest rated radio station in Dallas, but at least we paid for all of our tattoos." Kick ass.

i went onto ncaa 11 at looked at SD STATES playbook and saw that they run a 3-3-5  so i went to http://goaztecs.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/sdsu/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/depth-chart and looked at the depth chart and found out they really do. which kinda made me happy because are defense is built for the 3-3-5.. Does anyone know if hes going to run it here bcuz i did see last night the SD ST DC was named head coach.

Hoke did run the 3-3-5 at SDSU out of necessity. He saw that the stregnth of the defense was in the secondary so he switched to it. He admits he likes it and would be willing to run it in the future.

However, since he was an assistant under Carr I think he will eventually end up running the 4-3 defense IMO.

You may not like the pilot of the plane you are about to fly on and you may wonder how he even got the job, but once that door is closed and the thing takes off, you have no choice but to root for him with all your might.

I'll be rooting as hard as I can.

for starting a thread where those of us that are excited to have Brady Hoke as our head coach can voice our support.  I find it disgusting that so many people who, a short while ago, criticized the portion of the Michigan fan base that did not support RR from the get go are talking about how this was a terrible hire and that Brady Hoke is not qualified to be the head coach at Michigan.

To these people, you are doing exactly what you criticized others for during the past three years.  If you truly support the program, as you claimed during the RR era, man up and support Brady Hoke.   Like it or not, he's our coach.  Sound familiar???

Moreover, we have a damned good coach - by all accounts.  And there's nowhere else he'd rather be.  Frankly, that makes him a better choice than Harbaugh and Miles.  Many on this blog have professed, "Give him time" for the last 3 years.  Well now the tables have turned.  The other side (which I was not on, for the record) emplores you to give Brady Hoke a chance.

Welcome back, Coach Hoke.  Go Blue
