"...that will make redshirt freshman and former five-star recruit Damian Prince the starter at right tackle. The starter there, Ryan Doyle, will then shift over and replace Minter."

Nice that their 6th OL also isn't a direct substitution, and that they have to mix up the line.

...I'm mildly concerned that we will suffer a bit of a let down and Maryland will be pumped and will play beyond their norm at home in the stormy weather -- at least for a good portion of the first half.

Hope I'm wrong!

So your mildly concerned that Maryland will play over their heads and extremely motivated because they're at home, at night and trying to salvage their season and/or pride?  That their fans will be jacked up and the team will play out of their minds for the first time all year?  That their coach will open up the playbook, try things they havent done all year and will take chances, go for it on fourth down and generally throw caution to the wind?

So basically every single night game ever played by Michigan since the beginning of time.

How does Edsall still have a job? It's a shame BC I'm sure Michigan could have recruited Dwayne Haskins if he knew what a tire fire Maryland was before he committed there... If they do fire Edsall, Tom Herman and Chad Morris are right there for the taking... That is scary considering the miracle turn around they've done at Houston and Smu

Dude it's been four games, and SMU is 1-3. Wouldn't exactly call that a turnaround. As for Herman, I think that guy will bide his time for the next few years. With his track record and what it looks like Houston could become with him, he could get a job far better than Maryland if he waits another year or two.

As for Edsall, he signed a three year extension over the summer, so getting rid of him even after this season might be ill advisable. Unless they lose out and have some off field issues as well.

To get rid of Edsall would not cost Maryland an Iowa sum (as Iowa would have to retire 5% of the national debt to fire Kirk Ferentz and that might be only a slight exaggeration), if you will. Per the Washington Post, via Testudo Times:

Should Edsall be fired prior to Jan. 15, 2017 - when his initial contract ends - the school would pay him a $2.6 million buyout ($2.1 million from his original contract with an additional $500,000 coming from his extension).

The tenor of the commenters on Testudo Times would be that they prefer Edsall out, but slowly and only after the season so that he can experience their hell.

I was just about the say the same thing.

Losing to an FCS team (even one as good as JMU) is not exactly what I'd call a "turnaround."  Granted, they did put up a lot of points on TCU, but it's quickly becoming apparent that lighting up the scoreboard against the Horned Frogs ain't all that tough.  Hell, Minnesota managed 17 against them!

After being embarrassed last year by both Rutgers and Maryland, it's payback time for Maryland.  They looked atrocious against West Virginia last weekend, so anything less than a fourteen point win in their house is inconceivable/inexcusable. Containing Likely on special teams is the first order of business.

I thought this kid may have taken himself out after watching the film on Michigan's D-line. Kidding aside, I wish him the best. That's a b-tch of an injury to come back from.

That sucks for Mike Minter and Maryland. I hope he makes a full recovery.

With the nasty weather this weekend, I'm really hoping Michigan can escape with no major injuries. Seeing what injuries have done to other B1G teams so far is a reminder that, so far, Michigan has largely avoided them.

On the one hand I feel terrible for him, but on the other hand I feel worse for the rest of Marylands offense because they still have to face Michigan. Get out now! Get out while you still can!
