Mark Snyder is a POS

Mark Synder of the Detroit Phony Press wrote this year's version of "MSU closing the gap" article. I find it funny that in last year's version of "MSU closing the gap" article they cited Tom Lemming's evaluation of MSU's 2009 class to present their anti-Michigan propaganda piece. But this year NADA. Because Lemming likes Michigan's recruiting class. So the Phony Press decided to run with the only recruiting service that has both classes remotely close enough to make their weak case. MSU's recruiting is as close to Michigan's (in terms of rankings) as it has been in recent memory. That's not propaganda, it's called reporting.

According a lot of scouts, Devin has regressed in his throwing motion over his season season. Do you think he should have moved up in the ranking because of that?

Poster's point was that Snyder appears to be conveniently leaving out Lemming when he praises Rodriguez's recruiting efforts, yet including him when lavishing over MSU's 2009 class. I would call that sketchy reporting

in the piece talking about RR's closing efforts, he turns that into a negative. He suggests that RR recruits players already verballed to other schools, (which, of course is true, making the piece factually correct) but does not note in the piece that the recruits are still looking, and does not report that every other coach recruits at least some verbals to other schools. He also does not report on the players verballed to Michigan that were recruited, and will be signed, elsewhere. And to top it off, look at the picture of RR used in the piece. There must be a million more flattering pictures he could have used. I never put much stock in boycotting the free press, but I have to say, I really despise them. They must be a wholly owned subsidiary of the MSU campus newspaper.

... I think it is safe to say that the Freep is agenda driven... fairly indisputable. However, I liken reading every article and dissecting it for the purpose of further proving the bias to self flagellation. I mean, I believe that riding on a bicycle without a seat is painful, but you won't catch me doing it every day just to prove it. Read detnews. It is also less likely to create the embarrassing situation at work when you begin typing freep... and all the free porn sites start showing up in your address box. Seriously, freep, thanks a lot.

So why do you have to keep talking about him? "People have to talk about something just to keep their voice boxes in working order so they'll have good voice boxes in case there's ever anything really meaningful to say." - Kurt Vonnegut

It's not an article, it's an extended with spaces paragraph. It seems to exist for no other reason to have a place to put an inflamtory headline. And the pic of Rich they put with the "Closer" article...uhm...not...flattering.

It's really funny that we often talk about how Sparty is obsessed with us, yet we just can't stop talking about them. Who cares? "They think they're gonna be as good as us?! Sparty NO! LOL ROFL. (insert arrogant comment about little brother)
