The Detroit News has a great CHAT with Marcus Ray regarding the current team, the upcoming season, and a few other matters - including this insight as to what he calls the "David Boston Massacre":

what was the highlight of the 97 national title season for you?

My highlight would be winning the rose Bowl as a team, secondly would be the two interceptions against Michigan STate and the two interceptions against Iowa to help perserve a win because our offense was struggling. Obviously, the David Boston Massacre was great for football and personal reasons.

My personal reasons re: Boston was because he was talking trash during his high school recruiting visit -- he looked us in the face and said he just came here to see the stadium and tell Charles Woodson he can't wait to score touchdowns on him. December, 95 -- that's where it started.

And we almost got into a couple fights in Columbus. It was a real personal beef with Boston.

Really good stuff from the guy who gave us this iconic image:

I've had a chance to sit down and have dinner with Wood and Drew Henson 2 years ago.   I asked Wood if he still hated Boston, and he said he'll never stop.  He was dead serious too.  He said he hates that man.

The undertaker isn't kidding here.

Marcus is great and I like him a lot, but I get sick of hearing about his playing days twenty years ago. I like his analysis and opinions of players, but oftentimes I either mute the Rays of Light segment on WTKA or if he is co-hosting, I don't listen. During football season, I always listen to that show, but man, enough with the 90s talk. It's 2013.

I actually attended a few Scottish claymores games back in 2000-01. Big stadiums with almost no one in attendance. It was like my own personal football game.
