Man vs. Food at Blimpy Burger Today

Submitted by Wolverine318 on

Adam from Man vs. Food was at Blimpy Burger today and filmed a portion of an Ann Arbor episode. Did anyone go?  I am wonder if he made an attempt at the record. Ever since I downed a 2 lb cheese burger with a plate full of fries at the Arena in 15 minutes, I have been dreaming about making an attempt at the record which is at 4.8 lbs at the moment.

I know right, tios isnt even that good, everything is way too greasy and I feel like shit every time I eat there.  Now he could have done the bella italia meat lovers pizza challenge.  its off of eisenhower across the road from the new whole foods.  its a 30 inch meat lovers pizza, if you and a friend finish it in a hour you get $100 each

I once had a quint with bacon and a fried egg.  Then I had a triple to top it off.  I'm operating under the assumption that that meal took a fortnight off my life expectancy.  FYI I'm about as fat as Davion Rogers.

That dude is a fat mother fucker. I mean, he seems like a nice guy and all, but he looks uncomfortable as hell all the time. Like a sausage in a casing. Someone get that guy a moo moo or a cape or something. T-shirts just aren't doing it for him anymore.

less healthy every episode, its like supersize me but drawn out over years. I like the show, but they should have a couple of different hosts or something to spread around the calories.

The dude is from Georgia, IIRC. He sucked up pretty hard to the Buckeyes when he was in Columbus, but I'm gambling he'll do the same for us. Plus, if we manage to get him to say Ann Arbor is better since this episode is (obviously) later, I'd say that's worth it.

I ran into Adam last night at Charley's. After a few drinks my friends were sitting at his table and he was very friendly. Sadly I had to leave early because I had an 8:30 this morning but word is that he accompanied my friends (it was somebody's 21st) to Rick's.

IMO the best food in Ann Arbor.  Had a few rough years after it was taken over by some herb from long island, but one of the original owners rescued the mecca.

Many fond memories there with Dennis, Yankee hat and the Ween-heads. In my four years, I gained several pounds, invented a menu item, and the skills I honed as an undergrad helped me p8wn Michael Phelps.

In 2001, a buddy of mine  downed two terriyaki chicken sandwiches, two large cheese fries and two cherry cokes at Red Hot Lovers. Boy was Dennis impressed with that.

Over my freshman and soph years, I perfected my order:  BBQ chicken w/ cheddar, slaw, hot peppers, tomato (that's a Soul on a Roll for you amateurs out there), cheese fries and cherry coke, serious dog on the side and a side of pickles.  I'll never forget the day they added Soul on a Roll back to the chalkboard after it had been off the menu for many years.

a few years after i graduated, i invented an item: Serious Fries.  Cheese fries with slaw, chopped onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, and bbq sauce.  Don't knock it till you try it.  In the Fall 2008, I was in line behind Michael Phelps, who was having trouble figuring out what to order.  I suggested an order of serious fries.  Phelps asked what that was, I explained, and he replied:  I'm not that serioius, bra."  I told him to go back to Prickly Pear.

i haven't been back since RHL became Roy's Red Hots, but it will be the first spot I hit upon my next trip to AA.
