Malik McDowell is in more trouble
Shocking - his alma mater should have instilled a higher standard /s
Mama tried to raise him right, but her pleading he denied.
Was his father around ? It seems like he is in need of a good male role model.
Well he had Marg Dantono as a role model.
it’s a song - mama tried by the grateful dead
You mean Merle Haggard
Who needs mom's pleadings when he'll have plenty of legal ones?
This leaves only Malik to blame.
He'll turn 24 in prison . . .
Momma tried!
He bought a $74,000 pick up "off the street" for $3000 and claimed he didn't know it was stolen? I can see he is putting his MSU education to great use.
My guess is this guy ends up in prison for a long stretch at some point in his life.
I'd almost bet even money that he'll end up in the ground first.
Can't blame him since he truly thinks 2 +2 =5.
Let's just hope he is smart enough to buy plenty of soap on a rope while in the pokey.
The only person I feel sorry for is his Mom. She knew he'd be better off at Michigan because the school would have been the place to best try to keep him on the straight and narrow and now he just gone pissed his life away.
This dumb ass wouldn't have lasted two semesters with the academic challenge at Michigan. State was perfect for him, but they're hardly responsible for his ongoing idiocy.
do we know if he scored in the "literate" range on the wonderlic?
Yeah...no. Michigan dodged a bullet and didn't really miss him. But as far as keeping him on the straight and narrow...like LTT, Frank Clark, and Csonte' York?
I am not a car guy, so I am shocked that pick up trucks can be that expensive these days.
2019 Ford Ranger going for $55K. A Ford Ranger!
Raptors are sweet.
I was surprised as I looked at the prices in the Ford parking lot. Raptors are all in the $70,000 range. The regular F150s are all in the $50-65,000 range. The new explorer gets to the $50,000-almost $60,000 range really quick.
I can't believe the prices of cars. A lot of minivans are in the $40-50,000 range.
This "Coastal Elite" is pretty stunned there is any pickup truck that costs $74,000.
Maybe he can bunk with Appling who can mentor him on all things jail related.
Spartans Will...
Who?
Can't fix stupid
Another quality football player represented by Drew Rosenhaus. The fact that some people will sell their soul and morality for money still befuddles me.
$20 is $20, man.
What an awful mess. This seems to be heading down a steep slippery slope. I know he's a sparty but I hope he gets his life together quick.
Should have listened to mom.
Beat me to it.
One of my favorite Sparty memories is Mike Valenti whining about how immature his mom was because she walked out of her son's press conference when he committed to MSU. Turns out, there's more to life than football and rivalries.
Should've listened to mama
You can argue about surroundings all you want, but I'm glad he didn't come to Michigan.
I think he's just a troubled guy, no matter where he went to school. I'm sure MSU enabled his behavior more, but he also seems like a dude who has never had a firm grasp on reality.
Pretty sure he has some severe head trauma, so I hope he gets help before he commits suicide or kills somebody. That sounds fucked up, but it happens. A sociopath who also has severe head trauma is just a dangerous person
MSU was the right choice for him. There’s no way he could have made it through three years of UM without getting kicked off the team.
He’s a troubled guy no doubt. However, had he followed his mom’s advice and gone to UofM, he may have extracted himself from a shitty situation and shitty people. Instead he basically continued that trend at MSU, going to UofM might have made a difference.
It might not have made one damn bit of difference but going to MSU basically guaranteed he was going to continue down the wrong path.
So much potential. Bad choices started with his college decision and that wild environment
Only 23 years old. It would be good if this served as a wake up call, but it may be too late. He’s already facing serious charges. He needs to find that mentor and good path before prison, not after going there. Unfortunate.
When mama was pleading with him to go to Michigan to avoid his homeboys in East Lansing, it likely was already too late.
Who was his homeboys, Tee Grizz?
Who in the fuck cares?
As a "devotee" to the Wolverines, you should know that any and all opportunities to talk shit about Sparty will be taken
I think women’s field hockey has a game tomorrow. Should we care about that instead?
Didn't he suffer a closed head injury from an ATV accident? That would explain his declining judgment skills.
That along with football is not good.
This kind of stuff scares me because he could easily commit suicide or try to kill somebody. He needs a ton of help and to be very closely monitored.
He’s lucky he’s not dead. If the Officer’s account is accurate and he put his hand on the cops gun during the struggle, he’s lucky a cop didn’t shoot him.
Interesting hypothesis. What do you suppose caused his declining judgement skills which had him on an ATV, after having taken a large signing bonus the terms of which included NOT riding/driving an ATV, in the first place?
Super sad. Anyone taking joy in this because he went to MSU is almost as sad.
This is the right take. Trying to claim this as some kind of victory for UM v. MSU is pathetic.
Nobody is taking joy in this.
Oh, virtue signaling. Nice.
I can’t believe he bought a truck from a stranger who he does not know that’s brand new for 3000. Common sense says that’s odd. Maybe he has brain damage from his atv accident. He’s going to wind up in the news a lot unless he learns from this during his jail time.
