I actually like the jersey and have thought for a long time a maize jersey would look good. However, I think the maize pants are a bit much. I think white pants with those jerseys would've been slick as hell.

ijohn...c'mon man THEY'RE FUCKING HIDEOUS!  Alternate jersey's would have a mild freak-out sure...if they were nice it'd stay..mild.  This is just ridiculous though.  Nike, the AD, Harbaugh, whoever thought this up made a terrible decision.

guess I really just don't think they are.  I think they look pretty good.  We don't have a uniform that is all that conducive to an alternate, at all.  I agree with that, as is evidenced by Adidas failed attempts (and seriously, with the exception of the Sugar Bowl jerseys, they were all far worse than this).  But it is clear that Nike is doing "a thing" with this game, for better or worse.  Florida is wearing all blue alternates.  I am not sure what choice we had.  We are the away team?  All white wasn't an option, clearly.  This looks less like a creative endeavor and more like a "let's make the most out of it" situation.  And for that, I don't think they look very bad.  They are as simple as can be under the circumstances and don't resort to any of the ridiculous decorative piping and other garbage that Adidas did.

I am not trying to simply be contrarian.  I actually don't think they look bad.

1. What's wrong with the white uniforms? It's just as much an option as anything else that contrasts with Florida's uniforms, which (surprise!) they do. What's this "situation" that needs to be rectified?

has made it a "Color Rush game."  Florida is doing an alternate too.  Michigan signed with Nike.  Nike does this stuff and everybody knows that.  I don't understand what the big deal is with this.  People are all "Alabama doesn't do alternates."  Well, news flash - we are not Alabama.  When we go out and win four national championships in like seven years than I assume we will be able to dictate all the terms as well.

Everybody needs to just take a step back and relax about these.  One of our primary colors is maize.  It stands to reason that we may, at some point, wear a maize jersey.

Alternates now mean alternates forever. We have the best uniforms in college football and this permanently cedes tradition to Penn State and Alabama. I believe they are the only two that have said no to uniformz?

Timeless is timeless; it bonds generations. Blaming Brandon for temporary insanity has been my comforting hedge. No longer. I am just a little voice but say with conviction this is actually reducing my enthusisam for the season more than I would have expected. The pride of tradition is so easily damaged and gone, gone, gone...extinction is forever.

You know what would have been a good one-time use? UTL1 and done. Biggest mic drop ever. Oh well let's have fun being like everyone else...awesome it feels great. Not.

If any players are reading this let's be clear though: it's very important you execute and kick the shit out of Florida. That matters most.

Whoa there pardner, don't be talking stupid now.

I hate the yellow jerseys with a passion, but that won't diminish my enthusiasm and love for Michigan football one iota. When your own child leaves the house wearing some ridiculous hairdo or jackass outfit—which they will—it doesn't mean you don't love them every bit as much.

But the yellow jerseys still suck.
