Lunardi Says Michigan Currently a #1 Seed

Submitted by bballislife22 on

@Sportscenter just tweeted that Lunardi has bumped us up to a #1 seed following our win over Ohio. I would assume we would still have to win tomorrow to keep it though, especially if it's against Wisconsin. Still cool stuff.

"Joey Brackets making changes! @ESPNLunardi has Michigan climbing in front of Villanova for final 1 seed after win vs. Ohio State."

Just because Michigan could be a #1 with a win or loss doesn't mean the committee doesn't account for the result of the final game - they can account for it without it changing their seedings.

No matter what I think the commitee is going to put Michigan and Virginia in the same bracket as either the 1 or 2 seed depending on the conference championship outcomes...

UM wins UVA wins ... UM 1 UVA 2

UM wins UVA loses UM 1 UVA 2

UM loses UVA wins UM 2 UVA 1

Big ten championship game too late and too important to not pencil in michigan with the team thats going to be in the reigion as them

The team desitined to win the tourney always does, be thjey a 10 seed or no. 1. I've watched Wooden's team win against some medicore team from somewhere in KY other than Lexington because he instructed them to foul a player. albeit a reserve who hadn't missed a free throw all year. Sho nuf, he danged it, ane the Bruins proceeded downcourt to make the winning fg. I saw "Never Give up Valvano," instruct his team to fould at every opportunity to keep the game going and end up winning on a shot so far off that a guard, yes a guard,  rebound the 3 foot miss and convert the tap in for the game-winner.  I saw Villanova, under Massie miss one damn shot the entire game.in other words, play 99% the perfect game to bet G.T. and Patrick. And these are just games that jump out at me. There is always a team destined, normaly one that doesn't realize it but catches some type of bug that after two, possibly three games, begins playing as if they had been No. 1 all year simply do the inexplicable and that's why March Madness is perhaps the best thing about college sports.

Give me Michigan as #1 in the East with #4 Syracuse.

Does two things:
1) Gives Michigan a matchup against a dumpsterfire in the 2nd round
2) If Michigan loses, hedges my bet
