Coach Rod coached his ass off today, and if not for Tate's nightmare game, we would have won. Once we have some more depth at QB (DG) and Tate can put on some weight, we will be just fine. Anyone who thinks RR should be fired is literally insane.

Yeah, you'd have to be an idiot to think that RR should go after this game. He gets the rivalry, he knows how to coach, and he proved it today. Hats off to him. Tate's not as confident as I thought he was though.

There were no fewer than 12 "thank god rich rod is gone after this season" or "i'll see you and harbaugh in september guys" comments in the CiL. Surprisingly late in the game compared to normal

I can't imagine that was very pleasant, especially at the end there. Your work is very much appreciated though.

There are people on my newsfeed on Facebook that openly want Forcier to transfer and RichRod out.
It just pisses me off that people make such blatant statements like that without ANY facts or competence. I have faith in this team. They played very respectably this game and I think they can build on it. But by golly the people who talk and make noise it just makes your head asplode!!

I forgot to mention how many people were arguing adamantly about how Gardner WILL AND MUST BE our quarterback next year. That was ridiculous. The entire 4th quarter were comments like that. Most didn't make it through that I saw.

I want to post this now in case free speech is revoked again. This team will be markedly better next year. No rational person can deny that the offense will be improved, and as far as the defense is concerned there are signs of improvement. Granted, tressel called a conservative game which helped make us look better, but if warren comes back turner should be a marked improvement over floyd at the 2nd cb spot on athleticism alone, and when kovacs plays close to the line he is a solid player (assuming woolfolk stays at the other safety spot).
As far as the linebackers are concerned, I can see this as being a weakness, but with competent safety play this can be mitigated somewhat. As far as the DL is concerned, Graham is a huge loss, but I am excited about big will and like the idea of moving martin to van bergen's spot and van bergen to grahams. Will we miss graham? yes, but given the improvements elsewhere i can see this being a more than serviceable unit that, combined with the offense, can lead us to a successful season. I'm predicting 9-3 contingent on warren coming back.

I'm not saying it won't be better, but I think it might be a little rougher than you think. We lose a couple of OL, and 3 senior RBs.
As far as the RB postion - we had a lot of younger guys get carries. Smith and Cox looked good, Shaw looked alright ... I'm sure I'm missing some. But really, none of those guys have much experience yet. So the RB position might be an adventure.
And on the OL, replacing Mooseman and Ortmann could be tougher than we think. The way I see it, Molk "replaces" Mooseman (if he can get back from injury), so that's a plus (and I mean that as a compliment to Molk, not a diss to Moose).
So yeah, UConn could be an adventure. I find it a little ironic that about two months ago, everyone was like "HUH? UConn? We want Georgia or Oklahoma!"
Now, two months later, I'm not so sure I even want to see UConn.

I can see where you come from, but I guess I just think that the loss won't be as severe as you do. The offense wasn't the same this year without Molk, and I wasn't that impressed with Ortmann. My thoughts on the O-line are that with all these RS guys I don't see too severe of a dropoff. At RB i see that as a reload, Smith looked like a future star today, and the fact is Minor and Brown have both missed significant time. Don't sleep on Toussaint either.
As far as UCONN goes, I'm actually from CT, and I don't see that game being a horribly risky game. UCONN has a great running game, but little else. The passing game is horribly inconsistent and the defense has never shown an ability to stop a potent offense. I see that game being closer than many fans would like, as UCONN's rush attack shortens the game, but in the end I can't see them stopping UM with the weapons we'll have.

Only an idiot fires a guy with 1.5 recruiting classes...
Hell, David Shula got more than that from those rednecks with cash in briefcases in Alabama.
If it's going to be war, however, let's have at it.

Jon Heyman from SI just tweeted something about how RR should be considered the worst coach in college FB.
This is the kind of crap that needs to stop....

Another "gem" he posted after that:
"michigan AD laughs when ABC asks whether r-rod will be canned. calls him "fantastic coach.'' can you say "delusional?""
