But the rain stopped early in their game, I believe.  And the score was 30-13 MSU midway through the fourth quarter.  Minn made a nice desperate rally at the end but looked like crap most of the way.

For the same crime. It’s 7 traffic related offenses. I think 4 are driving on a suspended, which is still crazy and I think he should have been in jail already. They gave him 4 breaks by pleading him out to various lesser offenses. The kid has worn out his welcome with breaks. He should be done for the foreseeable future.

It's 7 counts of driving on a suspended license or with no license in the past 18 months. At least 10 total driving related charges, plus whatever he did the get his license suspended initially. From the article: 1. February 2016 - Driving with a suspended license 2. March 2016 - Speeding and suspended license 3. April 2016 - Leaving the scene of an accident and no license 4. July 2016 - Open container and no license 5. March 2017 - Driving with a suspended license 6. July 2017 - Driving with a suspended license 7. This incident

in this thread of people taking this seriously. There are multiple driving offense, some involving accidents and alcohol, yet he always gets away with little or no consequence. Someday, someone will be seriously injured due to his carelessness, and the carelessness of the criminal justice system.

"Although the charge typically carries a 93-day misdemeanor, the LSJ reports that Scott could face up to a year in jail because of his previous convictions."

who publicly attacked a group of students while wearing masks.  I'm not even sure publicly heinous is a thing with Dantonio.

Honestly unless the State Police are involved pretty much everything else gets lost in the large stacks of paperwork at the ELPD or MSUPD, if you catch my drift.

The fact this became public just tells me Dantonio's problem with LJ Scott fumbling all year just became easier for him to solve.  Addition by subtraction.

Big deal. He’s broke and stupid. I’m sure he has a million dollars in parking tickets and lives with a suspended license. This will mean nothing in the grand scheme of things after state loses to Indiana Saturday.

How is it even possible to have 7 citations for driving with a license? I would think they would arrest you earlier than the 7th time. And if I am driving on a suspended license, I am definitely going the speed limit...what did he think was going to happen?

That narrative seems lazy when everytime he's pulled over he is operating a vehicle illegally. It doesn't seem like a stretch to think that perhaps he's not the most defensive driver.

still not going to throw stones in a glass house. I heard too many stories while I was a student about Michigan football players getting pulled over by police who knew them by name and let them off with a strong warning.

Should you get suspended for getting pulled over once? No. Should you get suspended for GETTING CAUGHT driving with a suspended license after getting pulled over on 7 different occasions? Absolutely. If you want to do the kid something of actual benefit to his life and future and actually care about the kid, you would understand that serious consequence is in need here. Whatever they were doing prior to this incident as far as discipline goes apparently isn't working. And even if you want to be selfish in this circumstance from Michigan State's eyes, you still want the kid suspended because right now losing on the football field is the least of their problems. They need to start working on their public image as a university.

It is a valid point you bring up about misdemeanors versus felonies. But, I think the bigger question should be how he has continued to plea to lesser charges. Eventually it is going to catch up to him and here it just might.

My biggest issue isn’t this one but, per the article, if my math is correct he was 20 when pulled over with an open container. Not saying I wouldn’t have been as lucky to get out of such a charge but I know many legal adults in that scenario do not escape open containers as drivers.

Eventually the eye needs to turn to how law enforcement handles these issues with the University. I don’t know if Harbaugh would respond differently but after the sixth time I hope he would take a stand. Heck after the second he likely would!

All that to say this is our luck this would happen after the monsoon of 2017....

When you cant drive because you dont have a license but you dont have a license because you cant drive.

1 or 2 can be bad luck, maybe a cop just happened to get behind and run the plates..but LJ may have trouble keeping a car between the lines..7 times?
