Let's have that new contract waiting for Coach Rodriguez when he gets back to Ann Arbor...

Rich Rod is a Michigan Man
September 11th, 2010 at 7:52 PM ^
Hail Rich! Let's move you off of the hot seat, unless it means hot coach with a team that is putting a lot of fear into D coordinators all around the big ten!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:55 PM ^
2-0 with big road win at ND will help quiet down the press in terms of negative RR pulp. Great start to 2010!
September 11th, 2010 at 7:57 PM ^
I say you give him the extension so all the big time recruits will see the job security issue fade and we can have a ton of kids saying "I'm going BLUE!!!"
OMFG I AM PUMPED!

ALL IN!
HAIL
September 11th, 2010 at 8:01 PM ^
3 year extension right now.

Winning Cures ALL.

baby!
September 11th, 2010 at 8:06 PM ^
I agree, as long as he signs a stipulation saying that Brendan FUCKING Gibbons will not step foot on the field unless it's for a PAT.

I'm pumped and I love RR, Buuuuut:

I'm estatic as all of you, but let's hold off on that extension. Want to see how we do in our first 3 Big Ten games. We go 2-1, that means we'll be 6-1, and then we'll talk.
September 11th, 2010 at 8:11 PM ^
yeah remember last year... big win over notre dame and a 4-0 start didn't end that well for us. a few wins into the big ten portion of the season and then lets talk about that extension
September 11th, 2010 at 8:30 PM ^
I see what you did there, tried to make us thinking logically!!!
+1 to you Sir!
September 11th, 2010 at 9:05 PM ^
If you are really thinking logically though, you would realize we had an injured Tate, and a Denard that wasn't really ready yet. Completely different situation this year. Also, UConn is better than Western or Eastern Michigan, and the ND win was on the road this year.
September 11th, 2010 at 9:57 PM ^
I'm glad at least some about you are thinking clearly. (That was meant as a compliment newfound.)
Robinson is awesome, and two weeks into the year is the clear MVP of any team. He's also hard not to like... carries himself well along with the talent. Anyone would be excited to have him. But a contract extension for Rich Rod? Now? It was a big win, but Notre Dame will not be world beaters this season.
On the half-empty Ford Field front, MSU often looked uninspired today and didn't put FAU away. The run game was strong again, Baker in particular, but Cousins had trouble. Still, they have to be favored against the Irish and Northern Colorado before the Badgers come to East Lansing. Then... we'll try to knot the Shoelace October 9th. (Promises to be a high scoring game.)
September 11th, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
Let's win some in the league, but I'd love to see it.. But I will say that this team is really competing and you can see the way he runs things in practice coming alive in games.
The team is tough like their coach.

Isn't our record the same as it was last year at this time? How'd that season turn out?
Let's keep the fingers crossed but hold off on the crazy for a bit longer. Frankly, it seems like RR got out-coached (especially in the second half, which killed us last season). A superhero named "Denard" won this game.
September 12th, 2010 at 12:41 AM ^
let's not go crazy. if what's his name doesn't have problems with his eye today, we're probably not talking about extensions tonight.
September 12th, 2010 at 2:14 AM ^
I think RR will have that extension waiting for him due to the fact that Brandon has received the vision of Michigan defeating Boise St. for the title.
September 12th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
Mid-season extensions based on the result of one game are more the style of Notre Dame (USC loss what?). I wouldn't want to give them the impression that they're more important to us than they are. They already have an overinflated sense of worth.
