already here. Cullen Christian, Brandon Ifill, Rashad Knight, Tony Grimes, Bobby Swigert all on deck. Again, Anderson's at an Ohio State feeder school and doesn't have an Ohio State offer despite being "top 50." Makes me wonder.

You are forgetting the big names mentioning us as of late. I believe we got an official visit from Marquis Flowers, it's behind paywall, but I think this is the case. Interest from Sean Parker, Dietrich Riley, and Josh Shaw.

BlockM, we've got a lot of others on the board who we are first choice for, and remember, Quentin Washington, Craig Roh, (I think) Denard Robinson and Anthony LaLota weren't even on the board at this point last year.

Exactly. I think that recruiting this year is a lot more fluid (for better or worse) than it was last year or in previous years. We could have a solid amount of decommits if our record is as bad as last year's but on the flip side I think if we're 7 wins or above this year (maybe even just .500) than we'll be on a few high recruits radars that we weren't last year. I think we need to hope that A) We don't suck. B) If we do suck we don't suck too bad. C) If we suck really bad every recruit closes his eyes, sticks his fingers in his ears, and screams LALALALALA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU OR SEE YOU SO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING. Any one of those options and our recruiting will be better than people expect for this year.

I was never high on LaTwan's character, he is really that stupid. I was negged last time, but a 13 on the ACT is REEEEEEALLLY bad and he had behavioral issues to the point OSU didn't offer...

You get a 12 on your ACT if you get 25% right(so just guessing and not reading the question gives you a 12). So a 13 really, really sucks. He's not going to MSU. It'll be WV.

The ACT is equivalent to the SAT. Universities take both tests and do not descriminate based on out-of-state and in-state applicants. I am an out-of-state student and I submitted my ACT score to Michigan. on a side note, a 13 is what noel devine got on his ACT. just an interesting frame of reference.

I forgot the ACT is sometimes out of 5 questions-maybe it was just one or two sections out of 5. If you guess on all without looking at the question, you should be able to get around a 20% (which is a 12). That's pathetic. Even if you are really dumb you should be able to eliminate some of the answers, and should be able to get at least 1 out of 3.

There are 4 possibilities (A - D) on the ACT Reading, English, and Science portions of the exam. There are 5 possibilities (A - E) on the ACT Math exam. Also, even if you guessed on all the questions and you somehow got 25% correct, you still would not get a 12 overall. The test adjusts your score based on if it detects you are guessing. It also uses a special top-secret, multi-parameter based scoring model that gives less credit for easier questions and more for harder questions, but this is not determined until after all of the exams are scored. So each question is not worth the same amount of points. I am an 11th grade Math teacher and also the ACT Testing Supervisor for my district.

Ha, are you sure this ultra complicated model, isn't just simply ranking the difficulty of the questions? As far as adjusting the score to guessing goes it isn't quite fair on the off chance the pattern matches with someone who wasn't guessing on the ones correct. Even with guessing the score will be 20-25%, on a scale this large it is still lying in the bottom 5% of each category, which could very well be people who are guessing.

I meant to say it is a complicated model to predict beforehand and to replicate. The questions are not pre-ranked based upon difficulty and no one knows which questions will be assigned more (or less points) until after the test is scored. I give a practice test to the students in my district and it is almost impossible to get an reliable and accurate predictor as to what the actual ACT scores will be because we do not know how the scoring distributions will come out. Thanks for letting me vent OT...

and articles I read I am not sure this is a bad thing. He definitely has talent but he seems like a bit of a jack ass. Also, as many have stated, we are in the drivers seat for some top notch DB's still. Finally, I would have to say that if OSU hasn't even offered this guy he must have some other issues as well.
