Late Night NCAA Open Thread

SMC has Zona struggling a bit early. Butler and MTSU is also close!

Florida vs UVA will be a slog I'm sure. Iowa St. vs Purdue should be entertaining.

I'm scared shitless of Louisville.

I just don't know if we can hang with all the athletic length they put on the floor. Foul trouble will be so key - hope they have it and we don't.

But man if these results don't make you think the Big Ten ain't half bad, and the ACC... been getting bombed.

Still, I think this is a very good Louisville team. Fuck, I'm already sick to my stomach and have been all day.

and they are not the 2013 team.  The thing that gives me comfort is they don't have a Russ that can match a Trey.  This team is efficient on O but it's because of transition moreso than great shooting.  They remind me of a slightly better VCU that we beat in 13.  This team can handle that.

But I'm still going to be nervous until it's over.

specifically to complain about the horrible refereeing in the Arizona-St Mary's game and see several others have already voiced the same complaints. And I have Arizona in my brackets, too, but c'mon!!!!! This game went from being tied with almost 7 minutes to go, to an easy 9-point Arizona win, almost solely due to a 4- minute stretch of "Screw St. Mary's!" by the refs. I'll give Zona credit for hitting almost all those gifted FTs down the stretch, but St. Mary's got severely violated in the (rear) end there!

twisting, bad form that we'd tell our kids to never use - but of course give matthias credit, the guy is a legit D-1 player so he'll make those on occasion.   pulling for purdue and the B10, excepting ELCC.

the seeding.  And the fact that 3 Big 12 and 3 B1G teams are in the same region.  6 of 16 teams are from 2 conferences.  WTF?!

It's not like each conference got 12 teams in.  It's another example of how poorly this tournament was structured.
