Late Afternoon Games Open Thread - Christmas in East Lansing

MSU helps us or sucks some more. Win-win. It's actually a pretty good day for games all around all day.

Mod Edit: Couldn't help editing the title. Staee! [zl]

Well, Illinois' defense was keeping it competitive for a  quarter and some change here, but they gave up two decent chunks of rushing and are now keeping it Illinois with that Buckeye TD. 17-6 Buckeyes.

I keep expecting for MSU to regress to the mean personal-foul wise, yet they never do. I hate to perpetuate stereotypes and generalizations, but in this case it's very much true.

Why did Denard have to go down against Nebraska?  I have no doubt we would have won that game had he been healthy.

One of the lessons that will undoubtedly be learned from the Illinois-OSU game is that the Illinois secondary needs help....a lot of help, as they were just torched for a 51-yard TD reception and beat badly in pass coverage (big shock, right?). 24-6 Buckeyes. Is there a version of Tacopants that can play a little DB for them?

I told my sister, a pitt alum, that if they beat nd I would buy her and myself pitt jerseys. I really want a old school Marino jersey, fuck the Irish

Well, an 18-yard punt became a 13-yard yard punt with the penalty, so the Buckeyes get excellent field position. Meanwhile, Urban Meyer is apparently intrigued by something literally IN the sideline in that particular shot.

For every time an announcer proclaims that a State player just committed a "boneheaded" play that is "contrary to the way Coach Dantonio coaches the game"... At some point it becomes indicative of the coach, doesn't it?

Sparty is getting smoked because they have to respect Martinez as a passer. As much as everyone makes fun of the way Martinez throws the ball....this season he is light years better than Denard as a passer. Stats show it and the decision making shows it.

EDIT: The sparty Defense that is in regards to why Denard couldn't smoke them.
