Late Afternoon Games Open Thread

Submitted by jcgold on

With So. Miss polishing off a big win vs. Houston, we can look forward to this afternoon's late games:

Iowa St. at #11 KSU - FSN (currently 17-13 K-State at half.  They could get a BCS spot if TCU is unable to move up)

UNLV at #18 TCU - Vs. (currently 21-3 in 2nd.  See BCS potential)

#22 Texas at #17 Baylor - ABC (No, Baylor will not be in BCS)

#14 Georgia vs. #1 LSU - CBS

Hopefully this last weekend will deliver some more good games.  Discuss and enjoy.

SEC quarterbacks are awful. Yeah the Defenses are amazing but how are the QBs so awful? Stafford and Cam Newton are the only solid QBs to come out of the SEC in the last 10 years. Am I missing someone?

Georgia blew some early opportunities to jump on LSU...it may come to haunt them later.

LSU's offense is so incredibly inept today, it's really frustrating to watch. 5 straight 3 and outs is like...bad, yo. Their defense hasn't been spectacular today either, but they've still only given up one touchdown. Honestly, the best LSU player right now is their punter.

Guys its not likely but but a uga loss doesn't end our bcs chances we would just need one of bama/lsu to get jumped by okie state, 3 team rule kicks in and we still get our auto bid.

tbh.. I hope UGa wins... I'd love to see the SEC homers argue that two teams that didn't win their conference should play for the national title game....

LSU obviously has no passing attack. I'm not sure why every other team hasn't just put eight in the box against them. They're not even trying to pass.

LSU has 25 yards of offense and no first downs. That doesn't seem like the #1 team in the country to me. If they lose they cannot be in the championship game.

Honey Badger pulled a DeSean Jackson on that return. Too bad the replay officials biffed it.

Well, good thing for Michigan that they biffed it, but bad for fans of dumb plays.
