Late Afternoon Games Open Thread
With So. Miss polishing off a big win vs. Houston, we can look forward to this afternoon's late games:
Iowa St. at #11 KSU - FSN (currently 17-13 K-State at half. They could get a BCS spot if TCU is unable to move up)
UNLV at #18 TCU - Vs. (currently 21-3 in 2nd. See BCS potential)
#22 Texas at #17 Baylor - ABC (No, Baylor will not be in BCS)
#14 Georgia vs. #1 LSU - CBS
Hopefully this last weekend will deliver some more good games. Discuss and enjoy.

Skip the three and go straight to out. Their defense seems more likely to score than their offense.

GA is just stacking the box, there should be many open receivers down-field!

Does Ryan Mallett count?
Tebow obviously does count in the win column but not in the "passing attack" sense that you meant.
But yeah, I agree with your point.

Georgia blew some early opportunities to jump on LSU...it may come to haunt them later.
LSU's offense is so incredibly inept today, it's really frustrating to watch. 5 straight 3 and outs is like...bad, yo. Their defense hasn't been spectacular today either, but they've still only given up one touchdown. Honestly, the best LSU player right now is their punter.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:32 PM ^
They've been practically dominating this game, and they're only up by 3.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:29 PM ^
I didn't know the Backus family reunion was in Georgia today.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:29 PM ^
LSU back in it per PR

Honeybadger WOW
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
As soon as he got the first block, I was hoping it would happen!
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Hell yeah LSU! 10-7. I bet they win by 10.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
HONEYBADGER!
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Guys its not likely but but a uga loss doesn't end our bcs chances we would just need one of bama/lsu to get jumped by okie state, 3 team rule kicks in and we still get our auto bid.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Hopefully, this will jump start LSU!
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Georgia special teams self-vaporized there. TD Tigers.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
I'm really glad they didn't call that GLARING block in the back after he made his first move to spring to his right.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
Close, but he clearly got hit in the shoulder.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:38 PM ^
upon further review, I agree.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
give Mathieu the Heisman
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:31 PM ^
Thats one way to get over having an anemic offense.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:31 PM ^
that guy gets my heisman vote, if I had one.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
Agreed.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
I just felt the game end with that punt return
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:33 PM ^
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
Anthony Carter just got some love from Miles via Danielson
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
....but Mathieu sort of looks like the guy from Fine Young Cannibals...just a bit.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:36 PM ^
LSU's offense can't get a first down. Honey Badger don't care. Honey Badger IS their offense.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:36 PM ^
So if TCU cracks #16 and Michigan cracks #14 who goes to the sugar bowl?
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:38 PM ^
TCU. They get an auto bid to the bcs if top 16 and higher than a bcs conference champ (Big East). Michigan is eligible for an at large selection at top 14.

Nice break for Georgia...
....and here the drive may stall.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:41 PM ^
tbh.. I hope UGa wins... I'd love to see the SEC homers argue that two teams that didn't win their conference should play for the national title game....
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:42 PM ^
Problem is, I'm pretty sure that's what'll happen.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:41 PM ^
The line judge on the punt return signaled touchdown WAY before the ball BARELY broke the plane of the goalline. Phew.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:42 PM ^
showing why he's gonna be a higher pick than Mathieu.
What a good corner

Also showing why proper scouitng>swearing by recruiting services (*cough* Urban *cough*) http://rivals.yahoo.com/lsu/football/recruiting/player-Morris-Claiborne-85323

Love the finger wag by 17 after nearly intercepting the deep ball
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
He wishes he was a WR. WOw that was a risky pitch.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:42 PM ^
Lets see where they punt it this time
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
if ohio want the LSU as their OC...I will gladly say go for it. This LSU offense is anemic.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
LSU obviously has no passing attack. I'm not sure why every other team hasn't just put eight in the box against them. They're not even trying to pass.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
LSU is down only three without getting a first down in this half.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
The Hat really likes to throw ROCK.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
LSU has 25 yards of offense and no first downs. That doesn't seem like the #1 team in the country to me. If they lose they cannot be in the championship game.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^
Holy Crap I was right about that punt return!
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
Honey Badger pulled a DeSean Jackson on that return. Too bad the replay officials biffed it.
Well, good thing for Michigan that they biffed it, but bad for fans of dumb plays.
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
lets see the sweet LSU O go into hurry up mode now...this jefferson INT written all over it
December 3rd, 2011 at 5:53 PM ^
I thought any number of people on the Georgia bench could have caught that!
