Great to hear, especially after years of seeing guys take less money to play somewhere else. Should bring some great leadership at the very least, and I'm sure he'll be a big upgrade on the field as well.

Last I checked, Maualuga hasn't played a down of professional football. Nor have any of the players we drafted. I'm just saying I feel that the Lions have attempted to plug holes they have in the best possible manner. In their opinion, their draftees will make a bigger impact than Maualuga. So let's allow it to play out before we allow anyone to be proclaimed a difference maker.

'Fun to watch' does not mean I'm proclaiming maualuga as Jesus the LB, just saying him and foote would have given the lions a marquee rookie next to a super bowl champ. But I guess you're right! Who am I, a lowly fan, to question the almighty 0-16 Lions?

I don't know what I think about Maualuga. I don't necessarily think he'll be a stud... However, the Lions had three chances to pick him, and spending a 2nd round pick on him wouldn't have been a "reach" so they coule have very easily pulled the trigger. They obviously didn't think he was worth it.

Ernie Sims, Julian Peterson, and Larry Foote. Julian might not be the toughest name in the world, but its gotta be better than Paris.
