Lacrosse Falls to Drexel 9-7 at the Big House

In case you are weird and find the 2nd round of the NCAA basketball tournament tediously boring and drama free, Michigan lacrosse is locked in a tight game vs Drexel at the Big House.

It appears Mich went down 3-0 early and battled back and kept it within one and even tying it for most of the game.  but the Dragons got an empty netter in the final seconds.

Disappointing close loss to a team  that finished in the top 10 last year (although theyre struggling this year). Michigan could have recorded a good home win vs a solid program .

All is not lost however.  They still have a chance to win some games in the Big Ten portion of the schedule.  Go Blue!

Sigh. Could've won this one. Dropped it in the final minutes and then Drexel scored a garbage time goal to win 9-7.

Michigan is now 4-4. Their upcoming schedule is, uh, rough.

They close non-conference and open B1G play for the first time--at #6 Maryland.

That should be ugly.

Thought we were going to pull this one out when we came back to tie it at 7.  Would have been a minor upset to beat Drexel, even though they are not as good this year as last. Will be in College Park next game to witness the ugly.
