Oh oh oh...but but but...he's a 4 star on Scout. So obviously Scouts rating is the shit and Rivals is just shitty. /End Lame Sarcastic Rant (I'm sick as hell and bored out of my skull)

...understand now. I am just so tired of hearing people bitch about stars and recruit ratings. Glad to hear you were being sarcastic. I like turtles.

I remember hearing about these way back in the days of Lloyd Carr. Imagine the possibilities if one of them actually made it through the program and got on the field!!! In all seriousness, seems like a good, coachable kid and I love the reasoning of wanting to be a part of what's going to happen here. Here's hoping I get to see 'em at the Big 33 next year.

Why should we be particularly excited about Wilkins, aside from the fact he appears to be a good, coachable kid? Doesn't seem overly big or especially fast...

Glad to hear that you are a Wolverine. Welcome to the Michigan family and I look forward to seeing you out on the field within the next couple of years. Again, welcome and I hope you enjoy your time at Michigan. Go Blue!

Stephen Hopkins asked me today why everyone was so mad that we have a lot of three stars (no joke). He reads MGoBlog, and I explained to him it was a joke. Maybe that joke needs to be put to rest?

I've worried about this exact situation for a while now. Not so much pertaining to any specific recruit, but the whole "do we really want these kids?" meme that seems to grow w/ each commit. Hopefully it doesn't bite us in the arse.

I definitely agree with that, but too an extent. I don't like bashing a particular recruit. Straight up, if RR offered this early and he committed this early, let's (a) trust that RR knows his shit, and (b) not bash the kid until he decommits. Then, as fans, we are actually a detriment to our team. Not what we want. Howeva, this is part of what playing for a passionate fan base entails. If you don't want people talking about you and criticizing you, play for Baylor. If these kids want to play in the spotlight, they have to take a little bit of what goes along with it. That said, we can keep a lot of that to a minimum.

That's good, we're lucky we have you Tom. It's probably a hard adjustment for a lot of these kids to go from high school players to kids who are talked about ad nauseum across the country.
