Keep James Franklin

He is doing a phenomenal job. Someone remind us what his record is against us, MSU, and OSU. Also the gif of him writing on his notepad would be a nice touch.

1-4 against Michigan (including the loss to HOKE!)

1-4 against MSU

1-4 against OSU

I'm feeling more confident saying Moorhead saved his job 2 years ago. They wee 7-6 two years in a row and without the offense exploding in 2016, they wouldn't have been much better the last 2 years.

I was disappointed that, on the last drive, Penn State did not face a fourth and 7 or something down around our 10.  I really wanted to see if Franklin would have kicked the FG.

Quick moment of righteousness here. After the McSorely INT, Franklin was standing on the opposite side of the players box, away from the team, staring off into la-la land. I yelled "Franklin, you're weak! Stand with your team!"

He then slowly strolled over and stood with them. My friends and I have determined he did hear me, and I influenced his actions.

Heh. Cool story. But really this guy has no control of his sideline and is constantly being checked by his assistant coaches, almost like they are filling him in on the action and coaching him up on how to coach. Its beautiful but also embarrassing.

So, after 3 weeks after Frames declared that although not "elite", Penn State is "great". Does 2 losses in those 3 weeks knock it down to sorta, kinda "good"?

Declining that delay of game penalty was the right call....then he changed his mind!

Then he has Michigan re-kick after the kickoff went OOB....that was a white surrender flag if I’ve ever seen one.

The best was the timeout he took with a minute to go in the half on 4rh and 17 from midfield. Hey let’s give Michigan some extra time to see if they can score.

Here's the contrarian view: He's a pretty good, but not great, coach. PSU lost a bunch of high quality starters (which sounds awfully familiar a year ago around here) and lost big. A couple years ago, after a big loss here, PSU beats OSU and ends up winning the B1G. Speaking of the latter... No, I won't until after the end of this month...

Penn State has a good young team. Their defense held Michigan for a while until they got tired. They are going to get better and have their re-revenge tour next year.
