Justin Turner - #1 player in Ohio
Some nice recruiting news.
According to the most recent rankings (1/21/2009), Justin Turner has been named the Number One Prospect in the state of Ohio. Nice to see a Michigan commit as the top prospect from Ohio. I understand Bill Will is the top player in the state of Michigan, but it certainly has to feel good to RichRod to grab, and hold onto, the top player from a state that seems to keep a number of its top prospect in state.
Other Notables:
Marcus Hall #2 - Prospect (would be great to pull both #1 & #2, not holding my breath though)
Fitzgerald Toussaint #14 - M Commit
Isaiah Bell #27 - M Commit

there's still a way the local media can spin this so that it doesn't look like RR went head to head with the vest and came out "the victor".

Rich ($$$) Rod hasn't recruited well in Michigan because he thinks Ann Arbor is in OHIO! And he's not even good at recruiting there! Look how many Ohio recruits MICHIGAN STATE has! SEVEN! And MARK DANTONIO knows that Ann Arbor is in MICHIGAN and not in OHIO!
What an embarrassment for the Michigan athletic department.

I'll bet money your sarcasm meter is broken. I thought it was funny.

6 of which are 3-stars who weren't on Michigan or O$U's radar. Dantonio can have 'em.

Everytime we steal a top player from ohio, he turns out to be a great. Woodson, howard....

...Prescott Burgess. Mike Massey was a Top 5. As was Justin Boren.
But, Mario Manningham was nice.

Ohio State's forgoing in-state recruiting. They're not respecting their own in-state prospects. Ohio University is coming on strong.
THE FOOTBALL MONOPOLY IN OHIO IS OFFICIALLY OVER

Very nice to see, but it prompts the question: How in the hell is the #1 prospect in Ohio, one of the best high school football states in the union, NOT a 5 star prospect?
