I remember that game. We had just been embarressed by Wisconsin, and then OSU loses. The announcers kept saying "This could be the first time in (insert year from the stone age) that OSU and Michigan both lose the weekend before The Game!"

You could say that again.

Gives me hope for what Denard can do to them

Yup. People forget we only lost by 11 to them last year, and that was with 5 turnovers. Anything can happen in that game.

but other than that I'm not sure. I think it's just hard for schools like Illinois to stay competitive.

I hate Juice Williams. His career was awful for me.

God, I loved that game.
This was the same Illinois team we held in check in Champaign...despite the fact we were playing without Mike Hart and Chad Henne was injured. Ryan Mallet played horrible. If not for his turnovers, that game could have been a blowout.

What was crazy was that after that sophomore year, people saw Juice as the next Vince Young/Troy Smith-type dominant QB. A guy with great athleticism and a good enough arm to keep everyone honest. His destruction over the last two years was just startling.
