Man, when we lose a recruit to a school like UCF, that bugs the shit outta me. I understand that a lot of recruits like to stay closer to home, so when a guy from South Carolina chooses Clemson over us, I get it. But UCF? More like WTF.

The notion that choosing *x midmajor school* is a bad sign for us or a certification of how dumb recruits are is sad on the part of fans. UCF is close to home, it's a program on the rise(UCF isn't exactly a MAC school or FIU. They're doing very well recruiting in FL), and he most likely has a great relationship with the coaches and players. Accept it, move on. Good luck, Josh.

UCF was 4-8 this year, the fanbase wants the coach out, and robinson is by far their best recruit this year. They've got Josh, a few 3* and a bunch of 2*. Doesn't exactly sound like a program on the rise

So now convince a kid from Florida, who probably hasn't followed Michigan programs, that a team that just went 3-9 is on the rise. I'm not saying we aren't, because we are, but that's not the only factor that they look at. He's close to home, he's still in good weather (which was a factor),and he's going to get to play.

It's hard to get those kids out of Florida. We've had success lately, but this doesn't really surprise me. As far as other CB's, we're recruiting a couple other kids, including Mywan Jackson, some are already committed, I think we'll be ok.

What Huss and Brodie said. Brodie's point is particularly well taken given McGuffie's assumed personal struggles this year. My sister went to a smaller college for basketball to stay to close to home and so Mom and Dad could attend 90% of her games. If a lineman from Wisconsin chose UCF over us, I'd be confused. This makes some sense.
