Josh Jackson To KU

As expected, Josh Jackson was never going to stay in-state. MSU at top 3 was simply a window dressing because he's from Michigan. MSU and Michigan never had a chance at Josh Jackson.
Was about to make a thred about it, but you beat me to it. I am so glad he isn't going to MSU. They're recuriting class is already really good.

I am guessing Sparty bailed when they bidding hit seven figures.
So you are saying we don't have a chance???
Best possible scenario for us was him going to KU.
What about Arizona? Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about a dream story where he goes to Michigan.

Regardless of where Jackson goes Beilien will sign kids none if the power schools want.

No the best possible scenario for us was him coming to Michigan.
Little Tommy can't close on #1 recruits like Jim can.

His whole recruitment is very odd to me. He has been the projected #1 recruit since 2013, yet never received an actual offer from either Michigan or Duke.
I don't buy the whole "he repeated the 8th grade to mature" line that his mom threw out. Maybe the academics just weren't there for Belein to offer.
I think the mystery might have something to do with this:

the kid and his family were looking for the best offer.
Even with Langford, Bridges, and Winston it's going to be hard to replace Valentine and Forbes.

as ugly as Valentine? If not, I'll gladly take them.
the bagman won this recruiting battle rather MSU lost it because i keep hearing he wanted deep down to go to State
Don't listen to MSU fans. According to them the only reason they ever lose a recruit is because another school cheated. In their eyes it is impossible for someone to prefer to live somewhere other than majestic East Lansing, MI.
But he was good friends with Winston and Bridges when he was in Michigan
Maybe he wanted to get past Middle Tennessee

This reply on a thread full of Michigan fans insinuating that Josh Jackson received money from KU.
Michigan fans not only are bitches, they are hypocrites.

a lot of board posts from UM fans. There are a lot of them who think we cannot recruit any of the top 25 kids becuase we don't cheat.
However I would have appreciated the publicity and debate about which one was better
Who would want to play for Izzo as a Blue Chip recruit? Look what he did with Deyonta Davis. Granted, MSU had Valentine and Forbes, but they didn't feature him nearly enough. Davis is MUCH MUCH more physically gifted than Valentine and Forbes.
And that's just schematics. You also get yelled at constantly (unlike Self) by Izzo, there's not a great track record of getting guys to the league before 4 years of ball at State, and you have a better chance to win a title playing for Kansas. No brainer.
This is a dumb post. I will agree they should have played Davis more but are you really saying he should have been featured more than denzel valentine? physically gifted does not equal better player! Denzel was the national player of the year! so why would they 'feature' anyone over him? MSU with jackson next year >>> Kansas with jackson next year. Look at the rest of the recruiting classes and the team rankings for next year. MSU is supposedly better in both.

Dude was a three star recruit when Izzo offered him and now there's consensus agreement that he's a first round draft pick
I don't know when Izzo was considered to have started recruiting Davis, but Davis was a low 5* his senior year per most services.

I don't think this is a viable argument since he went to KU. Self had two blue chip recruits that barely played all year long, he is right there with Izzo in terms of not letting stud recruits play if they have upper classmen in front of them.

Campus wise idk what is better EL or Lawrence to be completely honest.
Lawrence is no Ann Arbor, but it's pretty cool and a few notches about "East Landfill."

The only people who care about KU basketball bring great are the coach, AD, university president, governor and almost all the citizens of the state.

And because by all accounts it's actually a pretty cool town. I love Ann Arbor too but let's not pretend it's the only great college town out there.
