Blue in Yarmouth

I am also excited to get the news that Furman is going Blue. I can't wait to see this guy after a couple of years under his belt (can't wait to see him period, but especially after a couple of years). He should be great for UM.

I hope they like frozen food. Maybe they could schedule it a little earlier next year. Mid to late-December games outdoors in the north aren't really a great idea. Unless, of course, they are playing hockey.

He also said near the bottom of the artical, that he didn't think he was going to go to the place he was going to. And there was an artical earlier that said his recruiting manager almost threw away michigan's offer.

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen what this kid can do in pass coverage. every defensive highlight iv seen have been strictly pass rush and run support. i no some people were saying that he might project as a safety, but i think that was based primarily on his current size and speed. im not even sure he had coverage responsibilities in hs. he looks like a guy that can really cover the outside runs and can beat the rb to the edge. he obviously has great athleticism, but if he doesnt have coverage ability/experience yet, i think hes a shoe in for a redshirt.

The Washington Post Live interviewed Furman last week, and in that interview, Josh said he was going to play either linebacker or safety in college. They also showed his RB stats from this year. Furman rushed for 2,272 yards and 31 TD's his senior season. He runs a 4.36 40 and has a 42" vertical. Very impressive to say the least. Josh sounds like a very intelligent young man and I'll be a happy camper if he picks Michigan tonight. If you have an extra 5:18 to spare, I recommend watching the video. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2009/12/10/VI2009121…

I love the depth of field coverage we're potentially going to have with this class. Both Terrence and Furman can fly; all of those kids hit with a purpose; all those kids knock down a lot of balls. Furman clocked a 4.36 40?! Probably fake, but Talbott is on the board with a 4.4 40! Any way you cut it, these dudes are fast. I like Talbott in the Stevie Brown hybrid role, Furman in deep coverage, Christian at FS. Unless they're needed on Special Teams, a red-shirt season will pay dividends. Excited for the news.

lets not get ahead of ourselves. if we end up with the 10th best recruiting class, which im somewhat doubtful of, that means that 10 teams either improved by more than we did (if they were worse of as bad as we were) or reaffirmed their current position (if they were better than us). Although if our chances of a NC went from 0.5% to 1%, i guess your statement still holds...u so smart

If he doesn't choose Michigan some members of this board will need to go on suicide watch. I am very confident that he will be Blue, but the sky-is-falling comments will be unbearable if he doesn't.

I don't normally fawn over prospects based on their athletic measurables (40 time, vertical, etc.), but just have this feeling about Furman in addition to his off-the-charts physical gifts. From everything I see and read about the kid I think he has the chance to be one of the bigger impact recruits this year--presuming of course we can lock him down tonight. No matter whether he suits up at LB or S (or even RB at this point) I think he's going to be special, an all-decade type of player at UM.

oh man, the suspense is just turning my guts inside out. As I recall,RR said that the spots were filling up, so it seams as though he may be coming on board. Does anyone know if he has a Facebook? if so, we should check it out to see if theres any evidence.
