Nah....

He'll scoop up all of the Florida players leaving the team and get them to play for FAU.  Then McElwain will get fired, hire Kiffin, then Kiffin will bring all the former Florida/FAU players back with him to Florida.

I hope so. That guy has been nothing but a failure as a head coach. Yet, athletic directors keep giving this guy another chance. It's amazing.

Some serious gamesmanship by McElwain. Really taking this roster trickery business with Harbaugh quite seriously now. McElwain is playing some 3-D chess here.

wow thats quite a few bad decisions in short order...i believe wells also got charged with firing bb guns at dorm windows not long after enrolling last year.

obviously many college students do stupid stuff (i know i did)...its sort of amazing though (and sad) when the same students repeatedly make poor decisions and 1 incident turns into like 3-4

Yeah, because not caring about a Big Ten team that owns you in a national showcase game is such a good look for the SEC.

We are making steady progress debunking the "Big Ten is slow" narrative.

The SEC, however, is not doing quite so well in debunking the "SEC is stupid" narrative.

Hats off to Harbaugh for being the bigger man when McElwin took shots at him. Harbaugh very easily could have said something along the lines of Jim should really put more effort into his own teams issues instead of calling me out.

Unless Franks is superman (unlikely considering he can't beat out Zaire or LDR) how does Florida score now? No QB, no top RB or WR.

Maybe some quick slants/crossing routes.  Maybe some quick behind the LOS passes or pitches or jet sweeps where the player can get YACs if Hudson doesn't nerf that stuff.

But that's about it.  That was their "passing game" before their main RB threat was removed from the squad.  Don't know how strong their back-up RB is, but it seems to me that in the likely event that their run game just took a very credible hit (i.e., if it isn't like their WR corps where Callaway being suspended still yields 2-3 good options at WR for htem), their offense will be even less diverse in terms of their credible approaches.  Which means their ability to stretch our defense has decreased even more, and our D can largely focus on stopping the dink & dunks, swing passes even more.

Unless we just cough up the ball a lot on defensive turnovers or completely blow special teams, I don't see how these dudes score more than 10 or 14 points.

The only way I see Florida getting points on the board now is our offense turning the ball over deep in its own territory and giving Florida a short field to work with, throwing a pick six, and huge breakdowns in the secondary that result in big plays. Which is possible given the youth of our secondary, but UF has no proven receivers and QBs who are average at best. They still have to get their WRs the ball.

Basically, limit your mistakes, take what Florida's defense gives you, and don't give Florida a short field. We'll have a tough time moving the ball against Florida's defense, but I trust Harbaugh's ability to put his offense in a position to succeed far more than I trust Nussmeier's ability to do so with the unmitigated disaster he has on his hands.

and a QB with a big arm. They could get lucky and hit a couple of big plays.

Without their most dynamic playmakers, it's hard to see them moving the ball consistently. With such an inexperienced QB our pressure will force them into big mistakes. I'll be a little surprised if Franks doesn't get pulled. This could be one of those games where our defense outscores their offense.
