Jordan Diamond not to Michigan per Ondre Pipkins

Submitted by Steve Lorenz on February 3rd, 2012 at 4:57 PM

Per Ondre Pipkins, who I just spoke with, and his Twitter, Jordan Diamond is "100% not coming to Michigan".

EDIT: "his twitter" being Pipkins, not Diamond, just to be clear.

EDIT2: I am just going on what Ondre told me. I have no first hand sources with Diamond so I am only reporting what Ondre has said.

I finally hit my 2012 recruiting fill. I can take a few weeks off now and look forward to beating MSU, winning the B1G tourney and a #3 seed in the dance.

Great class. Yey! Done...

When I heard he and his Mommy were concerned about the linemen that were already commited my first thought was that he wasn't looking to have to compete for playing time. Been biting my tounge with regards to this kid the whole process and just couldn't care less one way or the other anymore. We need a center right now more than a tackle anyway. There a ton of really good tackles on the board for 2013 already, but in 2013 we'll only have 1 center and I really don't want him backed up by a true freshman.

Just one guys thoughts on the whole thing.

I love PeeWee, but I think he's so excited about coming to Michigan, he's ruining all of these kids moments with their announcements. He did this with Garnett, and Diamond already once. Let them have their moments Ondre!

The moment of them committing to a university on a full-ride scholarship to play football. You don't think that's special? Not many people can say that they did that. Kyle Kalis said he and his family were all crying when he committed. I'd say that's definitely a special moment.

Diamond is filming a documentary of this process, no? It sure would make for better TV if he was filming how easy it was to yank around otherwise intelligent/functional people (I'm taking a leap of faith on that part)...

Alright then, Diamond to Auburn.  Gives them an OL class of six (although none of them really project to center).  Hopefully they declare OL recruiting done and that leaves Kozen for us to grab up.

I was a huge fan of Diamond since last summer and I thought Chris Bryant's presence was going to have a lot of influence on Mr. Diamond- and I really thought he would commit here. If we in fact do lose out on Diamond [like it sounds we are] I still personally love this class. Magnuson and Kalis [are better OL prospects in my mind] have legitimate shots at starting or at least become part of the rotation this Fall. I hope that if Diamond goes somewhere, he succeeds and then hopefully his recruitment is involved with Kozan's decision somewhat.

It would make sense that Pipkins and Diamond are messing with us for the reaction. Remember the Kay Jeweler tweet? Don't you think Diamond would get pissed at Pipkins if this were actually true? Pretty sure this is just to build drama. This actually makes me more confident we land him.

Well we have a top 10 class and most of the recruits that committed stayed committed. Why get mad about a kid who we thought was coming here. He didn't commit cause he was uncertain. Big deal we will be just fine with this awesome class we've got comming in

I just ran in to Jordan Diamonds ex girlfriends sister who said that she broke up with Diamond because he is going to Michigan.  She also said Diggs is going Blue to for what its worth.
