Former Michigan D Jon Merrill (2010-11 through 2012-13) was selected by Las Vegas from New Jersey in tonight's NHL expansion draft.  Merrill was New Jersey's second-rounder (#38 overall) in 2010.  Vegas could keep him or decide to flip him at some point as they build their roster from scratch.

Yeah I'm glad they took Nosek over us losing Xaviar Ouellet.

Nosek had a great playoffs for GR this year, and I suspect that, along with his cheap contract, is why Vegas took him.

I'm with you; not sure why Holland talked about Mrazek like that. It's not going to raise his trade value. Oh well. At least we know he'll try hard since it's his contract year :/

Such an exciting time to be in Vegas! The wings will always be my team but I'm just happy to finally have a team to watch not called UNLV. Plus now I can avoid the trek to LA / Anaheim and the traffic that comes along with it.

They just revealed the first game will be a home game against Phoenix on Oct. 10.

The NHL will be releasing the entire 2017-18 regular-season schedule tomorrow at 2pm.

This might be important to know if you're looking to buy tickets to see the Red Wings in their new arena this coming season.  Expect high demand for Wings tickets this year.

of his contract, and Stevie Y's contract is through 2018-19 w/ Tampa Bay. Others have suggested it before and hopefully the Wings will be able to bring Stevie back home.

Holland has made some bad decisions recently, most of all, letting Mike Babcock go (problem was lack of prospects, not coaching).
