Even if he doesn't win the job, from a Lions point of view, competition rather than lazy preordained jobs is a good thing. And Jon seems to have the right attitude.

...favorite Redskin during his long tenure with the team. I'm still pissed with how they let him go. He should have been given the opportunity to play out his career in Washington. Good for the Lions that they have his services.
