John Bacon on 105.1 Tomorrow
This afternoon Drew & Marc on 105.1 spent quite a bit of the show discussing John Bacon's latest book. Including references throughout the show.

Additionally they mentioned Bacon will be live in studio tomorrow, but I don't know the time. They may not be the most sportscentric show on the air but they both like Michigan. Marc is an Alum and based on some comments it seems he's a regular here on the blog but I don't know if he posts.

I listened to that show one time and it changed the lives of a Michigan friend and I forever.
That being said, Dave Brandon is a crazy person.

I love Drew and Mark...their shtick can be a little too much at times, but usually a welcome change of pace from Foster and Valenti.

I'm amazed that they are still on the air. Everytime I tune into 97.1 (rarely), their phone lines always seem to be completely open and Mike and Terry have nothing to do but talk to each other. Maybe things pick up once football season actually starts.

I used to enjoy Karsch and Anderson but once I got in the habit of turning off the radio when Valenti and Foster came on, I just quit 971 all together. Haven't heard of Drew and Marc. Maybe I should check it out.

I like Karsch and Anderson. Valenti and Forster is just awful, becuase Mike is an insecure jerk, and Terry has no sports knowledge whatsoever, i'm very confident Terry could't name 5 UofM football players this season.

The ratings say you are part of a clear minority. Don't think it will be too long before 105.1 reformats again.

It's crazy to me that people could actually like Valenti and Foster. Regardless of what the subject of the show is, it always turns into sports shock jock radio where Mike screams at callers. I find it totally obnoxious. I guess people like drama and that's really what their show is all about.

But at least he doesn't pretend to be impartial while only being negative about UofM like some people on that station*coughCAPUTOcough*. I listen to Karsch and Anderson when I can, and usually Jamie and Wojo on that network and usually flip back and forth between 97.1 and 105.1 from 5-6.

Just saw a nugget on twitter that confirms what we've believed around here for a long time - the book acknowledges that MGoBlog took down Dave Brandon. Schlissel was going to let him finish out the year. Canned him right after Brian ran with his article. Wow.

See out the year as in the football season (a small courtesy) or the calendar/academic year (as in letting him make a call on Hoke and then hire the next coach if necessary)?

While MGOBLOG and especially Brian payed a role, it was Michigan fans as a whole that took down Brandon.
