Klatt is outstanding. His word on this means a lot more to me than the Washington Post's.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:28 PM ^
Whew
I was worried.
Glad we won the rest of our games this year.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:28 PM ^
Yes, Joel Klatt is never wrong!!!
Who the hell is Joel Klatt?
September 30th, 2015 at 10:33 PM ^
FS1 color commentator who called Michigan-Utah and is doing a superb job in his first year on their first-string crew.

I think he was the QB at Colorado after Kordell Stewart.

Thank you, but please never mention that name again. Thanks.

Don't rush just three.

quite a bit after Kordell. If I remember correctly he was the Colorado QB when they lost 70-3 to Texas in the Big12CG in 2005. And got injured and went after the NCAA.

Kaltt was a camp signee (free agent, as he was not drafted) with the Saints and the Lions in 2006 as well, I believe, and was cut from Saints mini-camp in June and then the Lions' fall camp about nine or ten weeks later. That was the extent of his career in professional football, if I am not mistaken. I think he tried out baseball at one point too, but I can't remember whose organization he spent 15 minutes with.

He didn't say XOR. Just OR. In other words, he doesn't logically disagree with you

Coherd's "just for men" is phasing out. Time for a new box.

Lolz. Others agree with you....

Most of the time I like listening to Colin. He likes to have a "hot take" and often beats his chest when he perceives that he has correctly predicted something, which gets a little tiresome. But he also admits when he is wrong and gives credit where it's due for the most part.
October 1st, 2015 at 10:08 AM ^
As much as I cringe typing it.... I actually agree with you.
Cowherd devotes more time to college football than most other programs, and of all the ESPN/ex-ESPN Hot Takers, his Takes seem to be semi-well thought out. He's a most intelligent of the Skip Bayless/Mark May/Clay Travis types--which is more insult than compliment, but still he's entertaining to me.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:29 PM ^
This is a lot of hype being drawn from a small sample size.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:30 PM ^
What was Colin's response?
September 30th, 2015 at 10:42 PM ^
"LEBRON...SEC...SABAN...LAKERS...YANKEES...COWBOYS"

I have been saying since December that UM is going to beat MSU, so yeah...

Obviously Cowherds show is a beacon of intelligent discussion and insightful sports analysis, just like I've always been saying
September 30th, 2015 at 10:32 PM ^
Hoping they win both but if I had to choose one of the two it would be sparty because I'm going to that game and bringing two buddies from the South up to the game to give them their first Big House experience.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:35 PM ^
No. Just no. It's OSU and will always be OSU. Sparty's time will come (it will be in October, mind you), but if I had to choose one, it's OSU. How can you choose MSU over OSU? We have defeated OSU twice since 2003...twice. That is unacceptable. We need to beat OSU and soon.

It's hard to understand. But they are just insufferable right now.
October 1st, 2015 at 12:02 AM ^
It's still OSU always for me also...because regardless of what happens that somewhow always screws up something for Sparty.
That said, you're right, driving to the UP recently I have never seen so many jacked up Sparties with their new S license plates, their Spartan alumni stickers and hats.
Ten years ago there was little of this...of course, they take it badly when I point out that for all their "success" they have won a total of two Rose Bowls since 1989, no MNC and lost to Central in there somewhere.
October 1st, 2015 at 12:33 AM ^
You're doing it wrong. If you treat MSU as a bigger rival than OSU, you are letting the terrorists win.
October 1st, 2015 at 7:45 AM ^
There is definitely something to this, and it's also important to remember that the Spartan mentality is much more fragile than OSU's. Michigan beating them wouldn't just ruin what was shaping up to be their best season in 50 years, it would blow a massive hole through the narrative they've constructed that Dantonio has built an elite-level program in East Lansing. All the success they've had the past 6 or 7 years is hinged heavily on the premise that they've "passed Michigan". That's a big component to their confidence, which also makes that success more easily dismissed if Harbaugh immediately shows that Emperor Dantonio is not wearing any clothes. On top of that, Spartan fans are just waiting to fire back against all the relentless Harbaugh hype over the past 10 months. Having to swallow that would be almost insufferable and terrifying to them that it may actually prove to be warranted.
Beating OSU would be frustrating for them, but Buckeye fans aren't going to suddenly lose confidence in their place in the college football world just because Michigan pulls off an upset against them. Michigan has flirted with it the past few seasons already and I think the fanbase as a whole expects that Harbaugh is going to bring some balance back to the rivalry.
October 1st, 2015 at 10:00 AM ^
Definitely true.
But why should anyone care?
Beat Ohio now.
October 1st, 2015 at 9:03 AM ^
Could imagine the fallout if the final of the MSU game was the same as the BYU game? They'd have to hand out suicide prevention flyers in EL.
October 1st, 2015 at 9:22 AM ^
They'd be pretty bummed, but most of the Spartan fans I know are more basketball-oriented. They've thoroughly enjoyed the last few seasons of football but they don't really expect it to last.
October 1st, 2015 at 9:57 AM ^
but I am disgusted by the hubris of the sparty base who used to call UM's base 'arrogant,' etc.The sparty bandwagon has grown considerably, and I would like to see it in a ditch this October.
September 30th, 2015 at 11:24 PM ^
I hope you and your buddies have a great time, but I'm not ranking that above spoiling fucking Hio's chances of a repeat. Hope we win both
September 30th, 2015 at 10:33 PM ^
Harbaugh is already scheming for those games. I have a feeling he will toss the kitchen sink at them.
It is such a great feeling knowing we have a competent coaching staff and we wont have to overcome the coaches every game to win.
September 30th, 2015 at 11:22 PM ^
I agree. Everyone knows he took all the countdown clocks out of the locker room. What most don't know is he hooked them all up in his bedroom.
October 1st, 2015 at 1:53 AM ^

What a difference 3 hours makes
September 30th, 2015 at 10:36 PM ^
The atmosphere at both rivalry games is going to be amazing. I hope we turn the showers on cold for Dantonio after whooping his ass.
September 30th, 2015 at 10:42 PM ^
Everybody, I saw an awesome quote by Baywolves on mgoblog.com: "Michigan is going to tear everyone a new asshole this year. They will go undefeated until harbaugh retires in 2045."
September 30th, 2015 at 11:08 PM ^
Except for Utah. They're fine with just the one asshole.
