Kaltt was a camp signee (free agent, as he was not drafted) with the Saints and the Lions in 2006 as well, I believe, and was cut from Saints mini-camp in June and then the Lions' fall camp about nine or ten weeks later. That was the extent of his career in professional football, if I am not mistaken. I think he tried out baseball at one point too, but I can't remember whose organization he spent 15 minutes with.

Most of the time I like listening to Colin. He likes to have a "hot take" and often beats his chest when he perceives that he has correctly predicted something, which gets a little tiresome. But he also admits when he is wrong and gives credit where it's due for the most part.

As much as I cringe typing it.... I actually agree with you.

Cowherd devotes more time to college football than most other programs, and of all the ESPN/ex-ESPN Hot Takers, his Takes seem to be semi-well thought out.  He's a most intelligent of the Skip Bayless/Mark May/Clay Travis types--which is more insult than compliment, but still he's entertaining to me.

Hoping they win both but if I had to choose one of the two it would be sparty because I'm going to that game and bringing two buddies from the South up to the game to give them their first Big House experience.

No. Just no. It's OSU and will always be OSU. Sparty's time will come (it will be in October, mind you), but if I had to choose one, it's OSU. How can you choose MSU over OSU? We have defeated OSU twice since 2003...twice. That is unacceptable. We need to beat OSU and soon.

It's still OSU always for me also...because regardless of what happens that somewhow always screws up something for Sparty.

That said, you're right, driving to the UP recently I have never seen so many jacked up Sparties with their new S license plates, their Spartan alumni stickers and hats.

Ten years ago there was little of this...of course, they take it badly when I point out that for all their "success" they have won a total of two Rose Bowls since 1989, no MNC and lost to Central in there somewhere.

There is definitely something to this, and it's also important to remember that the Spartan mentality is much more fragile than OSU's.  Michigan beating them wouldn't just ruin what was shaping up to be their best season in 50 years, it would blow a massive hole through the narrative they've constructed that Dantonio has built an elite-level program in East Lansing.  All the success they've had the past 6 or 7 years is hinged heavily on the premise that they've "passed Michigan".  That's a big component to their confidence, which also makes that success more easily dismissed if Harbaugh immediately shows that Emperor Dantonio is not wearing any clothes.  On top of that, Spartan fans are just waiting to fire back against all the relentless Harbaugh hype over the past 10 months.  Having to swallow that would be almost insufferable and terrifying to them that it may actually prove to be warranted.

Beating OSU would be frustrating for them, but Buckeye fans aren't going to suddenly lose confidence in their place in the college football world just because Michigan pulls off an upset against them.  Michigan has flirted with it the past few seasons already and I think the fanbase as a whole expects that Harbaugh is going to bring some balance back to the rivalry.

Harbaugh is already scheming for those games. I have a feeling he will toss the kitchen sink at them.

It is such a great feeling knowing we have a competent coaching staff  and we wont  have to overcome the coaches every game to win.

Everybody, I saw an awesome quote by Baywolves on mgoblog.com: "Michigan is going to tear everyone a new asshole this year. They will go undefeated until harbaugh retires in 2045."
