Joe Milton senior highlight video

Submitted by BlueLikeJazz on

A lot of what we've seen before: Suspect mechanics but OMG arm strength.

The other thing that stood out to me was his accuracy, both on improvised plays and designed throws. Yes it's a highlight video, but that's an awful lot of DO or CA passes.

EDIT: A link would help:

To my untrained eye, definitely looks like NFL arm strength. He won't be fitting the ball into NFL windows right away, however. I also like his overall athleticism--seemed good at escaping the pocket (maybe a bit too ready to do so at times), though doesn't have the dilithium.

If he can be coached up to make good decisions, increase his accuracy and fix his mechanics, huge upside. Definitely worth the risk with the other, higher-floor players in the fold.

but he just looks like Jim Harbaugh. When I saw his highlights package with his commitment, it struck me immediately. He probably has a stronger arm than Harbaugh did, but everything else-  his movement in the pocket, his running ability, and even a little of his mechanics are  eerily similar to me.

It seems like a large portion of this video doesn’t include him making any reads. His team looks like they are WAY more athletic and bigger than the teams they are playing. He has a cannon for sure, I think it will be good for him to come in and spend some time with Harbaugh and sit behind Peters/McCaffrey and learn the game and the system. But damn, if he can put it all together...

Cam Newton......

Unbelievable arm Strength

Mobile

Poor Mechanics

If JH can get him to stand in the pocket and shift his weight into his throws  to increase his accuracy, look out.......

The world is his oyster, the only question is will he be willing to molded learn to play QB.  So much more to playing QB than blistering 60 yard bombs off your back foot.....

This is Michigan's horse. He should not sit long here. Harbaugh loves mobile QBs. This kid is built like Cam. He comes from the "Crib". He could flourish here and take this offense to another level. I really hope he gets a chance early.

I always laugh a little when I see High school high light footage, there is always a few 5'6 LBers and 70 pound CBs and then this 6'5 220 pound QB lol. He just looks so out of place, truly a man child among boy children.
