Jim Harbaugh fires back at Tim Brando

Submitted by The Victors on

Tim Brando had this to say yesterday in response to Jim Harbaugh's criticism to Purdue's visitor locker room:

The entire Twitter conversation in the above link is pretty good. Brando looks like a fool trying to defend his comments.

Our Beloved Jim Harbaugh fires back:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Harbaugh provide a depth chart days before the first game with Florida? Where's the beef? And how does that have anything to do with player safety?

Some people are really really dumb. Way to bring a personal vendetta into an argument about player safety (and then somehow trying to convenietly pretend player safety has nothing to do with it despite that literally being what Harbaugh ranted about...for reasons, man). What's his point, exactly? I won't listen to what Harbaugh says about anything if he doesn't treat me the way I want to be treated? He sounds like a whiny spoiled brat.

You keep doing you, Harbaugh.

I keep harping on this, but it is people like Tim Brando that really need to understand that there's the depth chart that they get for consumption and then there is the depth chart which in fact exists in the mind of the staff, which may or may not be in actual chart form.

Reading his respones on this reminds me of the old saying

Sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you are an idiot

Than to open it and prove everyone right!!!!

This guy is a total douche nozzle!!!!

It's weird how often I learn about boring sports guys purely through Twitter wars they start and then get destroyed in. And also, they usually talk about respect and honor because it's easier to play for an applause line that won't come than put critical thought into your words.

That assclown blocked me. At least he had to read a few of my wonderful tweets before he pulled the trigger. You could not pay me to have a legit twitter account if I was on tv, too many anonymous folks like me out there.

Someone needs to tell this guy he is Tim Brando, not Marlon Brando. Maybe do your job and do a simple Google search. I'm sure some assistant gets this chode his booth slippers so maybe he/she can do it for him.

Harbaugh covered so many bases.  I'm paraphrasing here, but I believe he mentioned he'd coached the Pac12 and seen all of their visitor facilities, and consulted Don "Stache" Brown for a trusted take on the ACC visitor facilities and the conclusion of the finest football minds in America is that Purdue is an abberation.

I realize journalism involves some type of "lightning rod" publicity but this seems out of bounds.  I think a basic checklist for benchmarking "minimum facility standards" could be made up by the B1G if they can unbury themselves from doing the backstroke thru the mountain of $100 bills in the warehouse.

Sweet Jesus, now he's tweeting at Harbaugh calling him thin-skinned.

Dude spends the entire day arguing with and then rage-blocking anyone who dared to disagree with him, but yeah, Harbaugh's the think-skinned one.

That twitter feed was pretty funny to read.  Talk about people piling on!  But he deserves it.  Someone even posted a screen shot of someone ridiculing him by "updating" his Wikipedia page.  Don't want to incur the wrath of the internet.  Remember when everyone wrote scathing reviews of Rosenberg's book on Amazon?  Funny stuff

Michigan will start bringing all this type equipment to drivable away games, from now on.  Portable AC units, medical equipment (tables, braces, shit, maybe even portable X-ray machines, portable toilets?), etc.

It's like when you start making real cash, the antics of your cheap neighbors start to wear on you and you begin looking at moving to a nicer neighborhood.  Same with Michigan.  Purdue is the low life neighbor who got into the gentrified neighborhood 30 years ago and hasn't left.

You can really only count on yourself in this life, so if you don't want to rely on the kindess of an opponent to supply adequate equipment, bring your own.

I'd love to see Michigan supply great visitor's equipment.  And then proceed to beat the shit out of the visitors.

We've probably all played schools that had great facilities, and it threw you off when the visitor's locker rooms were nicer than your home ones.  And then you usually got crushed on the field.

So the initial thought, obviously, is that Harbaugh owned Brando.

But this kind of exchange is exactly what Brando wants. Now, instead of being a no-name pundit, Brando is engaged in a Twitter beef with the most viral coach in the NCAA. That's a big win for Brando.
