Jeremy Gallon SI
Did anyone else see the Sports Illustrated article about the return of the single wing formation in the NFL?
They talked to Jeremy Gallon about the offense his high school team runs, and how it was implemented by their head coach. They talked a little about the success the team was having, and it wasn't really anything amazing, but it kind of caught me off guard seeing his name at the top of the article as I started to read it.

I have a good feeling about having Gallon in the slot for 4 years

Does anyone else think Gallon might redshirt next year? With Odoms and Robinson returning in the slot, plus all our running backs, I'm not sure I see a reason to burn a year of eligibility.

from what i've been told they expect him to be a if not THE kick and punt returner at the very least next year. plus he's supposed to be just disgusting in the slot.

I just hope he can hang onto the ball if he's the return man.
I was disappointed to see Cissoko and Odoms start losing the ball again towards the end of the year. They were otherwise a pretty decent tandem on the return team.

Hell, if Jason Kates had been able to hold onto the ball, I would have been happy with him returning kicks.
By the way, remember last year when Mathews was returning punts and everyone got pissed at Lloyd Carr for putting him back there because he was slow?
Well...you've all seen what can happen to fast people who are careless with the football.

a shitton of fast people. Presumably we can find one that will hold onto the damn ball.

That's what I thought this year.
First there was Donovan Warren. Then there was Michael Shaw. Then there was Boubacar Cissoko. Then there was Martavious Odoms. Then there was Sam McGuffie.
Did I miss anyone?
