Jean Delance an Offensive Lineman who announced he was transferring (after his freshman year) from Texas earlier in the month, will play at Florida after sitting out this year.    His recruitment as a HS senior was down to Texas and Michigan.

Wow, that was quick.  It always seems wierd when these recruits that had Michigan as a finalist never seem to end up here after transferring....  Maybe that's a good thing, who knows...

not as good as Texas or Michigan, but warm weather, SEC, not a bad town from what I've heard... makes sense. Always like to add depth to the OL, but oh well. Best of luck to the guy!

And I don't want anyone to do any in-depth research, but who is the best non grad transfer in recent years? Just wondering if someone comes to mind. Other than guys who got in trouble and were forced to transfer. It just seems like kids who are looking for something, never seem to find it.

For whatever reason, we don't seem to transfer in a lot of players... I'm sure I am forgetting someone, but I can only think of two that were eye-catching in recent years: John O'Korn, and Ty Isaac. Isaac was a pretty big name.

As a side note, I am still unreasonably high on Ty Isaac, and would love to see him get more touches. The blend of power and shiftiness he brings to the table is pretty special. I have to think ball security must be the #1 reason he hasn't gotten more play.

Just off the top of my head, Baker Mayfield has been pretty successful. He was a heisman finalist the last two years and led OK to the playoff.

Although I think that transfer had more to do with Texas Tech messing around with his scholarship.
